Hirsch - I believe that these are the key paragraphs from the telegraph article.

"Paul King, the newly appointed chief executive of the Amateur Boxing Association, believes the new agreement will bring benefits to the professional sport by delivering more mature boxers and, if they win Olympic medals, ready-made stars like Khan and Audley Harrison.

The new spirit of co-operation between the two codes is also likely to lead to amateurs and professionals fighting on the same bill next year, possibly as early as January.

King is fully behind mixed pro-am fight nights, which he believes will not only give young fighters greater exposure but also improve the entertainment on offer to fans. Amateur clubs or associations would receive a permit fee in exchange for providing boxers.

"We are going to be looking at rolling out international matches at world title nights of maybe four or six bouts between fighters of confirmed medal potential. It will raise our profile with the larger audience and bring in much-needed finance."

According to sqc research "We now set an easily achievable Target Price of 10p by the end of 2005."

It could happen, we just need the massive overhang cleared. Last week millions of shares were sold, I hope we are approaching the clear line

Hatt: I'd quit over Warren
By PAT SHEEHAN

RICKY HATTON says he would rather give up boxing than fight for promoter Frank Warren again.

The IBF world light-welterweight champion has locked horns with Warren in a bitter contract dispute that is heading for the courts.

But Hatton, 27, says the split is now so deep he could stop boxing if judges rule in favour of Warren, who is suing for hefty damages for alleged breach of contract.

Hatton will attempt to add Carlos Maussa's WBA crown to his IBF title in Sheffield on November 26.

And the Hitman said: "If Warren was the only promoter out there and I was forced to work with him, there's a strong possibility I would retire.

"If Warren does finally take this matter to court and wins the case against me by some miracle, I wouldn't want to put another penny in his pocket."

Warren, who steered Hatton to the top in their seven-year association, claims he no longer has any interest in the Manchester crowd-pleaser.

He said: "It's a bit rich as I've already said I don't want to promote him any more. Disloyalty is no good to me.

"I have Souleymane M'baye who is the mandatory challenger for the WBA title so, if Hatton does win, then I'll be in the opposite corner looking after my man on the night."

Hatton admits the wrangling is playing on his mind.

He added: "I'd like to concentrate on the fight against Maussa and worry about the other stuff later - but you can't help but think about it.

"Sometimes it does your head in.

"But I'm confident of winning two fights in the months coming up - one against Maussa and the second against Warren."

So that would be somewhere between £280,000 and £1,400,000 in ticket sales before lunchtime on the first day. Cheapest tickets £40, most expensive £200.

"The prospect of Khan and Harrison, the Olympic heroes, appearing on the same bill has captured the public's imagination, with 7,000 tickets being sold before lunchtime when they went on sale yesterday."
