Havent lost anything yet. still in profit

Fb to work out a companies market cap is quite simple. Every company has a certain amount of shares. Sop have about 200,000,000 shares in issue. To find out how I got the figure it would be worthwhile to go back thru the last years rns and work out how many there were last year. Then add on the 74% stake and see if I am right. 200,000,000 x 4p? = £8m

Hirsch ....i told you so....hur hur hur hur....the sauce is on you.

clond...i go in the pool every day and the gym.....i post on here to give you the facts.Want to stay in one of my caravans ?

Regarding the contract business.....a bout agreement is signed for a specific boxing fight with the purse and various other details. It would never hold up as an ongoing contract.Thats why Hatton will win the case.

Hirsch...the share price is dropping again...hur hur hur hur!!!!!!

To put this all into perspective, Hatton has been offered a purse for one fight by FW that would enable him to buy the entire Sports Network at the current shareprice and have enough over to buy a nice house.

The world's gone mad; almost as mad as big Frank!

I am not sure why he would offer such a large sum of money. If it means promoters paying a higher price for boxing when contracts get renewed, other boxers would want the same treatment, in other words holding sop to ransom.

Imo it would be better to loose hatton than pay that money and see how he does, if he fails its a lesson for others if he succeeds then we can think again.

I am suprised fb hasnt been on here to say "I told you so"

Hirsch,
The 2 1/2 mill must be tempting, but do you think he could "cut it" taking a step up?

It is interesting that warren has publicly disclosed his claim. I am only suprised that he didnt do it earlier.
I wander what grounds the hattons have if what warren says is true?

RICKY TOLD: £2.5M FOR ZAB FIGHT
By David Anderson

RICKY HATTON has been offered a blockbusting £2.5million to fight welterweight king Zab Judah.

Frank Warren has made the offer in conjunction with US promoter Don King to stop the undefeated IBF light-welterweight champion from walking out on him.

The figures were released last night and Hatton would get a share of the pay-per-view money in addition to his £2.5m purse if he stepped up 4lb to face Judah.

Judah is ranked No.1 in the welterweight division and Hatton's WBU and IBF light-welter titles would not be on the line against the American.

Warren made the offer while insisting Hatton's proposed fight with WBA light-welter champion Carlos Maussa will not happen.

Hatton has called a press conference for today in Manchester to announce he will make the first defence of his IBF title against the Colombian.

Hatton has agreed a one-fight deal with promoter Dennis Hobson worth over £1million and the Maussa showdown is scheduled for the Sheffield Arena on November 26.

Warren insists he has an agreement to promote Hatton's next three fights and has begun legal action to stop him going his own way. "I'm confident the fight will not happen for various reasons," said Warren.

Frank -you should be a very wealthy man , even if the promoters robbed you blind. Why do you post on here when you could be taking a dip in your pool and exercising in the gym.

I saw you on tv when you gave away your tracky to auction for charity. Still a top bloke I see.

IF what is stated here is true, then I can't see that Hatton has a leg to stand on, the contract would appear to be on the basis of the letter sent in November 04 (by recorded delivery) to the Hattons! If Ricky signed after that, and the contract stated "it was as the terms of the November letter" where is his argument? Personally if I were signing a contract which referred to the said letter and I hadn't seen it, then I would be asking what letter, and requesting a copy PRIOR to signing! all in my own opinion of course!

Fb

youre cosistent deramping is based on (potentialy) loosing one boxer. Do you not think your being a bit extreme.
Hatton according to fw had only 4 fights left under contract, so youre talking about 4 fights? Yes, he is (was) a great asset to sop, but life will continue very well with harrison, brook khan docherty Calzaghe locket....

Fb

Thats incorrect
Gary shaw said that "Joe will have to go to the us for the fight". Thats part of boxing, boxers get injured.

read this
King, ringside for the fight at the CIA, was quick to praise Khan.

"I was very impressed with Amir," he said. "Frank told me about Amir and I didn't know what to expect because he is always boasting about his fighters.

"But Khan is super-sensational. He is a very talented young man. He has hand speed that's blinding and few fighters I have seen can punch forward and backward like he can and that's the quality of Sugar Ray Robinson.

"I don't think there's anyone like him in the world. He could almost go to the top with some of these guys right now.

"He wouldn't be physically fit but as he grows his power will be more devastating. He will be reigning for a long time. He will do England well and the world of boxing needs someone like Amir Khan."

1/ Don't listen to the press on the attendance at venues. They said Hatton sold 22,000 tickets at the last MEN Arena fight....the arena holds 19,500 at maximum capacity by the way.The Cardiff arena was not sold out...thats a fact. You could buy tickets on the night.

2/Calzaghe has a broken hand.Wont fight until next year.

3/ITV expected Hatton to fight at least 4 times under the two year contract. We all know this will not happen and ITV are furious. The main asset has been lost.

4/Khan is not making the company any money as the ticket sales do not cover the costs themselves. He will not have a title for at least 2 years.

5/ In two years time will ITV renew the contract...NO.Sky wont be interested either.

The sauce is all on you barking mad shareholders....hur hur hur hur!!!

1/ Calzaghe has won again raising his stakes for lacey in feb.

2/ Don king wants harrison to fight one of his own men

3/ Itv (if its true that they are fuming)they still have 2 years left on the contract. Besides khan is enough for itv.

4/ Making money is the name of the game for sop and a.khan is contributing to it.

5/ It was sold out, the only tickets for sale were being resold at "higher" prices according to the press.

FB... what planet are you from ? proper wind up merchant aren't you...

Still think your wrong mate.(and also one leg short of a boxers stool!)

This share has a habit of bouncing around all over the place so not worried that it's down today and perhaps down abit more in the coming days..
I still think SOP will come good. It may take a while but I never went into SOP for the short term !

I don't mind if it does go down. It'll be a good buying opportunity on the back of Amir Khan. He'll do well for FW and SOP

Frank - Some more food for thought:-

1/ ITV are tied into a two year contract.

2/ SOP still have an exciting stable of fighters.

3/ Amir Khan will attract big audiences whether or not he is fighting for titles.

4/ Cardiff was sold out weeks beforehand. If you'd bothered to watch you could also plainly see a packed arena.

5/ SOP has a strong balance sheet which will no doubt improve again this year.

If you have attempted to short this stock then good luck but I think there are far more obvious targets. Personally, I buy for the long to medium term and feel quite comfortable holding these shares which I believe are one of the very few under-valued stocks on Aim or indeed the wider market.
