Check out tomorrows 'News of the World' paper and get a free 'Best of Boxing, Bruno-Eubank-Hamed-Hatton' DVD by Frank Warren (featuring Frank Bruno, Chris Eubank, Naseem Hamed and Ricky Hatton in their most memorable moments). There's also chapters from Frank Bruno's new book all over the front pages.

Then the Sunday after there's another free DVD from Warren called 'British Bulldogs, Benn and Calzaghe' featuring highlights of Benn when he was 22-0 with 22 KO's followed by highlights of his DeWitt, Barkley and McClellan fights, and then there is Calzaghe's 10 1st-round wins prior to fighting Eubank followed by highlights of his Eubank and Brewer fights.

Don't miss it

Frank - I think it's time you had a reality check. Whilst Hatton's attempt to leave SOP is disappointing it is a temporary fly in the ointment.
I am not a boxing fan but do remember tuning in to watch the likes of Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Michael Watson, etc and of course Frank Bruno. However, when boxing disappeared from terrestrial t.v. so did my interest. I am sure that there are millions like me. It wasn't until the emergence of Amir Khan at the Athens Olympics that I took an interest again. Alongside many other factors the three personalities that drew me towards an investment in SOP were Amir Khan, David Elstein and Frank Warren. I have to confess I had never heard of Ricky Hatton. Neither have the majority of the British public.
IMO Ricky has been poorly advised with his attempted move away from SOP. Over the long term exposure on ITV would have been far more lucrative for Ricky. He now finds himself in a legal wrangle and preparing for a fight that may or may not happen. There also seems to be an assumption that he will win his next fight (if there is ever a next fight for him). Where does his future lie if he loses? Frankly it's a mess.
In the long run it won't be SOP that is the loser whatever the outcome of the legal action. I genuinely wish Ricky Hatton good luck. Sadly history is littered with top athletes who have been badly advised and end up totally losing their way.

Jet

Fb is someone imo who worked for sop at some time and got booted out. He seems to have some grievance against the simons brothers who work at the company and is therefore desperate to run the share down.
He has given this away by revealing some peronel information about the staff at sop, which is not available to the public

There is an institution who has been selling shares for the last 6 months, they have about 8m left. When those are cleared we will see the share price rise.

Boxing as most sports seems to be still a murky sport and will improve as boxing figures improve, thru the itv contract.

By the way Danny Williams and Matt Skelton are getting some great publicity. I seem to remember that even one of your posts helped Frank! Hur, Hur, Hur,.....

FB - Have you noticed that the last three posts were all yours? Take the hint Frank.
Frank might I also point out that just because punters are buying tickets doesn't mean that the fight is any more likely to go ahead. Hur, Hur, Hur....

Jethro....look at the good news below :

WILLIAMS ACCUSES 'SCARED' SKELTON
Danny Williams' big British heavyweight clash with Matt Skelton is in danger of being postponed for the second time.

And this time Williams is the one accusing Skelton of running scared and putting the deal on hold to ask for more cash.

Williams pulled out of their projected July British title bout at the last minute claiming a bout of 'flu and was subsequently reprimanded by the British Boxing Board of Control.

But a new deal appeared to have been struck for the pair to finally meet in London on December 3, possibly with Skelton's domestic title on the line.

However a planned press conference to announce the fight had to be cancelled this week after Skelton stalled on signing the deal.

And Williams - accused of being a "coward" by Skelton's team three months ago - said: "Skelton is the one who is scared and he is doing everything he can to avoid fighting me.

"When I was forced to pull out in July it was the best thing that had ever happened to Skelton and he knew it.

"Now he is making more obstacles by demanding I take another cut in my purse so he can have more money for the fight."

Williams claims Skelton has asked for an extra £50,000 which will be taken out of the Brixton man's purse for the fight.

And he added: "I am so confident of winning I am happy to bring £25,000 along which I will happily hand over to Skelton if he wins.

"If I win he doesn't have to give me anything. I know I need this fight and it has got to happen so I will do everything to get it on.

"But at the moment it looks like the only way Skelton is going to be prepared to fight me is if I go up to Bedford myself and flush out the big ugly bear."

Williams is currently appealing against his six-month ban from contesting the British title as a result of his late pull-out in July.

If he is unsuccessful, any fight between the pair would still go ahead either as a non-title contest or for the Commonwealth crown.

Neither Skelton nor his manager Eugene Maloney were immediately available to comment on Williams' accusations.

What a couple of bafoon's!!!!!

With a name like Eugene he must bat for the other side....hur hur hur hur!!!!

FB - more fool you then! IMO with a court case pending, even in the unlikely event that Hatton's fight goes ahead, he won't be fully focussed on the task in hand. I was also concerned to see his weight balloon so dramatically following his last fight. I'd hate to see him lose his next fight but let's face it his preparation is going to be less than ideal. Cancel your order Frank it might all end in tears one way or another! hur hur hur ... and all that brainless nonsense.
Solid set of results from SOP. Nice to see a profit. Amir Khan is clearly the jewel in the crown and is tied into a three year contract.
