03/8/2021 08:48 | Rightly or wrongly picked up some more shares down here. Hopefully should get some additional orders in coming months. | chillpill
02/8/2021 09:14 | Why not just move them to a broker that does things properly ? IG only take 15% off for WHT as long as you have the correct W8 form. Also if you want to sell you will then need to get the broker to dematerialise the certificates. I had to do this recently on another share and it took a good while and £150 per certificate | harrogate
02/8/2021 08:57 | Alex Hutchings X-O's Corporate Actions Manager has acknowledged my complaint and during our telephone conversation confirmed england80's update above that they are trying to arrange for Computershare to pay all future SPSY dividends electronically. I am considering converting my electronically held SPSY shareholdings in non ISA designated accounts into certificated shareholdings so that all future SPSY dividends only have 15% US withholding tax deducted, not at the 30% rate. Although selling any of my SPSY shareholdings subsequently cost effectively would require them to be transferred back to another execution-only broker to avoid the extortionate dealing costs charged by Computershare. It is such a shame that UK SPSY shareholders are so badly served by the current administration processes. | investoree
31/7/2021 14:46 | X-O have said that they’ve contacted the registrar to ask whether it is possible to receive any future SPSY dividends directly, rather than by cheque. If they can make this happen then hopefully we won’t have these payment delays again. | england80
30/7/2021 11:35 | Thanks fozzie and england80. I will make a formal complaint with X-O in the hope that they can get their act together. I would have used the dividend to purchase some more SPSY shares at the current lower price range. | investoree
29/7/2021 10:43 | Hi Investoree, I too am still waiting for my SPSY dividend in X-O. Chasing this dividend seems to be an annual event. If enough of us complain about it then at some point the penny will drop and they’ll figure out its easier to improve their processes than to deal with the complaints. Wishful thinking. | england80
29/7/2021 08:03 | Harrogate - sorry - I misinterpreted your post. | glaws2
29/7/2021 07:46 | Exactly my point - | harrogate
29/7/2021 07:45 | Cash reducing ? That wasn't my reading of the DLAR update - as evidenced by your second para. | glaws2
29/7/2021 07:41 | One factor that I think also is weighing on spectra is the feeling despite what Nabil says that cash is reducingThis is what DLAR said today In Currency, De La Rue continues to experience strong demand and is building an order book in line with its expectations for growt | harrogate
28/7/2021 14:54 | AJBell only pay after the registrars cheque has been banked and it has cleared, even they paid some time ago. I would suggest X-O are telling porkies here. | fozzie
28/7/2021 14:31 | Is there anyone else here who uses X-O (Jarvis) who hasn't been paid their dividend, or is it just me? Have complained to them and they claim that they are still waiting for the dividend cheque to arrive! Totally frustrated !*?* | investoree
27/7/2021 08:21 | Thank you Harrogate Hopefully there will be a sale at some point... | shanklin
27/7/2021 07:49 | SPSY - Nabil talking through Aerishttps://youtu.b | harrogate
21/7/2021 14:28 | Very good point PJ1 Insurers are not going to like companies being accused of killing customers or making them seriously ill when this could easily be avoided. | shanklin
21/7/2021 13:54 | It could be different this time, any risk assessment will show a covid risk, and if the establishment has been made aware of a way of reducing that risk significantly....... | pj 1
21/7/2021 12:54 | So far, there have been no sales of Aeris. I personally thought it was a dead duck after years of trying, but covid has made it very useful.Casinos, and other handlers of large amounts of cash are looking for ways to both protect their own staff but also persuade customers that there is no risk to them.Aeris fits the bill,.and isn't that expensive for the solution it offers. | fft
21/7/2021 12:35 | Hi fft, do you know if spectra has ever made ANY sales of Aeris? | 3800
21/7/2021 07:56 | WH Ireland speaks.... "Any sale would represent upside to our estimates... ...A Sum of the Parts valuation indicates a fair value of 240p ...Spectra expected to release interim results to June 2021 in the early part of September when a fuller update on pipeline opportunities can be expected." | pob69
21/7/2021 07:41 | There were supposed to be a number of casinos interested in Aeris if it cleaned covid off bank notes. It does clean covid so hopefully a few orders in the near future. | fft
20/7/2021 13:32 | If we couldn't see the share price we would all be delighted with progress | nico115
20/7/2021 13:08 | The shares have been disappointing- due really to lack of contract news and frustration that the long list of opportunities are remaining as just that. Except for the central bank which while very large doesn't kick in for a couple of years. All the other stuff is just noise I think - change of broker, share buyback etc. I think to criticise Nabil for trying to widen the interest by appearing at Mello is weird when most of us were screaming at him to do just that | harrogate
20/7/2021 12:07 | Fair comments yes. | pj 1
20/7/2021 11:54 | I don't think Nabil has done much wrong I'm still a massive fan Probably needs to delegate more and the new non exec has gone awol but I'm still happy with Nabil's leadership of a great companyRising profits ,rising dividends and rising cash pile over many years | nico115
20/7/2021 11:50 | fozzie, its always been a long term hold for me. I haven't sold any, the comments were say it as you see it really, a reflection of the general (advised?) conduct of Directors on AIM. Nabil wasn't the first and certainly won't be he last Director to make sure he's feathered his own nest via a PLC. Obviously his change of communication/ PR strategy has made me uneasy. Off course the massive positive is the previous lack and future low chances of any profit warning, which is Nabils strategy, which makes holding long term much easier for me. | pj 1 |
