Buying back reduces liquidy in an already illiquid share. A point and more made in his update. https://smallcompanychampion3db.substack.com/p/spectra-systems-550

Is this our seller? Disappointed by forecasts? not posted since, 6 weeks when previously a regular poster, who had disclosed a very large position ============================================================================== Sonofbanjosinger20 Mar '21 - 22:28 - 4956 of 5118 0 2 0 I think Nico 's holding is larger than all our Sipps put together ..... l am quietly confident of excellent results on Monday and looking forward to a robust future with hopeful another podcast to broadcast the facts ......

The forecasts come from the Company, the Broker is the conduit.

All Brokers are useless. Can we move on from the delusion that changing the Broker will reverse the share price action? It never happens. News flow and earnings growth visibility is what is required. No Broker can affect that.

Absolutely bizarre price action here atm. Nabil needs to be buying back heavily here and we need to change the damn broker ASAP! Irelands are bloody useless.

Obviously more sells than buys though who the heck sells here is a mystery to me. I think Nabil needs to really get serious here and take the sellers out. If he believes that the current share price should be north of 240 then buying for cancellation at this point is a no brainer.

Don't really care where the share price goes short-term provided SPSY keep going on the buy-backs. A fool and his cheap shares are easily parted.

Well, hopefully they'll continue the buyback at cheaper prices and just increase the future EPS figures going forward.

So far it looks like the share buybacks have done the opposite of what it's meant to do!

160 incoming I think. Nabil is going to need to get the wallet out again. Anybody know of another company where the ceo has told the market he feels there is a 40-50% undervaluation in his companies shares, where he is actively buying back shares, where there is a nice progressive divi in place and where there are a host of transformational opportunities? If you do please let me know ;o)

Given Stockopedia has a zero forecast profit for 2023, the rankings are completely wrong.

A quick response from Stockopedia! The StockRanks do move around a bit. It looks like with Spectra right now the reason for this is the Momentum Rank, so weaker share price momentum, rather than any news flow regarding the company. In fact the company itself has been buying back shares and announcing new contract wins. ............................................................................................................................................................................. We'll most likely cover it in the SCVR once the next update is out. I'll reach out to someone in data to get a bit more information on the Broker forecast and will get back to you on that point. All the best,

I recall Stockopedia have had a few recommendations for this stock over the last 6 months, based on its stockrank scoring system. I therefore wonder if some of the recent selling is investors following this system, as the over all Stock rank has fallen to a close to mundane 70 from a high 80's, and add on the enigma that Stockopedia also shows we have had a 2021 eps cut from 12.2 to 11.8c, which is also frowned upon by its system. SPSY doesn't currently look all that impressive via Stockopedia, certainly not as good as it looked 6 months ago. edit. I have emailed Stockopedia requesting if the original authors will review SPSY against its current ranking.

Hi Shanklin, "Anyway good to see the buyback. At least any seller in size knows SPSY will in all probablity pay £1.735 for their shares." I'm not to sure if any seller would have got £1.735 today I bought at £1.7034 and £1.7244 today and £1.729 yesterday, it will definetley put a bottom in the market though. 3800
