Given Stockopedia has a zero forecast profit for 2023, the rankings are completely wrong.

A quick response from Stockopedia!


The StockRanks do move around a bit. It looks like with Spectra right now the reason for this is the Momentum Rank, so weaker share price momentum, rather than any news flow regarding the company. In fact the company itself has been buying back shares and announcing new contract wins.

If you believe stockopedia forecasts sell out They look at least 50pct too low He should be sacked

I recall Stockopedia have had a few recommendations for this stock over the last 6 months, based on its stockrank scoring system.

I therefore wonder if some of the recent selling is investors following this system, as the over all Stock rank has fallen to a close to mundane 70 from a high 80's, and add on the enigma that Stockopedia also shows we have had a 2021 eps cut from 12.2 to 11.8c, which is also frowned upon by its system.

SPSY doesn't currently look all that impressive via Stockopedia, certainly not as good as it looked 6 months ago.

edit. I have emailed Stockopedia requesting if the original authors will review SPSY against its current ranking.

I'm not to sure if any seller would have got £1.735 today I bought at £1.7034 and £1.7244 today and £1.729 yesterday, it will definetley put a bottom in the market though.

No idea how buybacks create liquity. Indeed, they reduce liquidity.

Looks like the big volume yesterday were a result of buybacks!Looks like Nabil signalling 173p or thereabouts is a floor value :)

Liquidity just so terrible. 100k of sell volumes enough to tank the share price.Really need a consistent buyback to create more liquidity in the market.

Looks to me the chart is set for a breakout to upside possibly. Ascending triangle formation with resistance at around 191p.

There has to be a risk that Nabils new found love of being in front of the camera is a front for a lack of future growth or contract news.

Looks like stuck in a range unless new contract or trading update / results.Frustrating.

All a bit confusing why the share buyback isn’t being implemented. Nomad maybe blocking it due to future deals- that’s why if possible it should be delegated to a 3rd party.


On the broker side I saw mention of finnCap which would be a step up from WH Ireland. They do however have a reputation for being focused on capital raisings and not bothered about the after market. Considering SPSY’s current situation I’m not sure they are the solution.

I used to think Cenkos had a good growth companies team- not sure what they are like these days.

Company should put in a bid at 170p. I'd support that if it was to buy back stock.

Just 25k available to buy online at 183.5p, so maybe not enough to warrant a buyback
