03/12/2020 09:30 | mknight - yes Porvenir will be much quicker to get started on and quicker to get Gold from. So lets sell Alpala and use the money on Porvenir? | michaelfenton
03/12/2020 09:04 | No doubt in my mind we will mine Porvenir before Alpala if we are not taken out before . | mknight
03/12/2020 08:58 | We have a couple of things going for us at the moment. There is clearly a large buyer in the market sweeping up on any weakness. The Porvenir results didn't disappoint. Given the covid problems at the assay lab, the most we can expect between now and the AGM are updated drilling depths and maybe 1 more set of assays? Hopefully, we will also get a drilling commenced announcement for Rio. | lowtrawler
03/12/2020 08:57 | Level 2 Looks good . The 450k has been taken out at 38p and now nothing to stop it rising . | mknight
03/12/2020 08:38 | Maybe they are not used to the new modesty as to me hole2 seemed to have the same grades as 1 over which they wax lyrically especially the gold content. They did highlight the fact that drilling at hole 2 did keep going right down to 1200m so they must have thought it worthwhile to recover stuff to assay. | arcadian
03/12/2020 08:29 | Peeps buy and sell for all kinds of reasons. That's investing for you! | glasswala
03/12/2020 08:21 | Can anyone explain why any right minded soul would be selling right now? | michaelfenton
03/12/2020 08:21 | Disappointed with the good results DD. Hope you didnt sell your shares and deramp it for the last 2 weeks .😃 | mknight
03/12/2020 08:16 | Dodgy deals just before last two announcements indicates leaks if you ask me. Don't think Solg has suffered them before. New, expanded, board and drilling employees ? | dozyduck
03/12/2020 08:03 | Long time holder Willem Middelkoop Commodities Discoveries Fund is positive "$SOLG drilled another Copper monster imho. Porvenir might be even better for the likes op BHP and NCM ... open pit stuff instead of a deep down block cave operation #fortherecord" | pob69
03/12/2020 08:02 | Iceberg seems to know his stuff so calling it a tier 1 is good enough for me . | mknight
03/12/2020 07:52 | Thanks to Iceberg on LSE : ----------- ''Just My opinion as I be been looking over it for 20mins now and There is a lot to digest. Drill 1 nicely intersected the alteration down to 900m, a brief zone 100m or so of lower grade intrusion. Drill 2 but mineralization down to 1300m, more alteration above the shell and a chunk of lower grade intrusion. Drill 3 starting in the higher grade alteration zone, imo this should be a peach. Drill 4 will be massively interesting as it steps out into probably higher grade alteration, beccias etc. Just imo but the results are bang on what we hoped with a tier 1 and better than I hoped. The intrusion is normally quite low grade, with a halo of mineralization around it then higher cores of mineralisation. It looks like they are defining quite nicely those features over an area of 1500m-2000m depth and maybe a 1500km width and length square. This is all similar to alpala but with the intrusion nearer surface and so the mineralization at surface. It all reinforced the cheaper pit to 400m or so with grades comparable to top 20 drill grades from alpala which are much deeper. The speed of drill rigs expansion is quite stunning. In truth you could really expect much more. Porvenir is undoubtedly a tier 1.'' ------------- | mirabeau
03/12/2020 07:51 | MK, think we need to wait on the experts interpretation. Strange we have assay results for the first length of hole 2 but not the last length of hole 1. Assume that was the priority SOLG gave to the lab.We had been hoping hole 2 might get to 1500m but we already new the resource "twisted" at some point which will mean the later depth has less mineral content.I note they are no longer estimating mineral content in advance of assay results. Good. As mentioned yesterday, I was concerned about the previous practice and expected the new governance to stop it. However, with restrictions at the lab, it's unclear how soon we will get updates on the mineral found. | lowtrawler
03/12/2020 07:44 | I wonder? the Solg share price behaves in a perverse way always. May be a initial spike followed by sell on the news? Would need more to get above 43p plus this may be treated as expected priced in news. Further the market may think all fine and dandy but how is all this exploration going to be paid for and Alpala finance. Solg always confounds me!!??!@ | greenelf
03/12/2020 07:34 | Rig 2 looks a bit better than 1 and went down to 1200m so must be good . 03 and 04 holes now drilling and 05 to start soon . No expert but i would think we should have a good rise on the back of these results . Looks like another tier 1 for Solgold . Hole 2 seems to be very rich at the surface 2 to 262 meters No comments as its the blind leading the blind . Where is the one eyed king ? | mknight
03/12/2020 07:10 | Porvenir RNS out | bogotatrader
02/12/2020 20:33 | Wappings . Cant remember the last time we had a 2m trade reported at the end of the day . Rather interesting . | mknight
02/12/2020 18:39 | Pob - great results for CGP's 12.5% interest in Bramaderos.......... Z | zoros1
02/12/2020 17:12 | 2.3m delayed purchase at 36p just printed ....36.011 to include 3bps commission | wapping67
02/12/2020 17:12 | Copper, which is used in everything from power to construction, has risen more than 22% this year, on pace for its best year since 2017. “This current price strength is not an irrational aberration, rather we view it as the first leg of a structural bull market in copper,” Goldman Sachs said. The investment bank believes the speculative length in the rally is still “some way from its limit.” | arcadian
02/12/2020 16:37 | Good chance of news tomorrow UT 37.75 Plenty of demand | mknight
02/12/2020 15:57 | RioTS, I agree, and I am of the view that NM also wants to sell Alpala in order to gain the finance to exploit richer sites. But to get the best price for Alpala he needs to demonstrate that he could go it alone. The other would be acquirer parties are in need of securing future ores, ores that will be economical to extract, process and transport. They have to decide at what point they are willing to lay out money to secure those future ores, and how much it is worth to them to do so. With the visible supplies of copper finally beginning to live up to the long forecast squeeze, then those in the copper mining business must be looking at their watches by now. | lefrene
02/12/2020 15:46 | Guess they are worried the vote is close as just had a call asking me to vote. Apologies if you have done to death here, but what's the reason not to vote in favour? | waterloo01
02/12/2020 15:30 | I agree as well and am all for selling Alpala and to use those funds to explore further the other dozen assets. And lets hope that is good enough for potential acquirers - whether they like it or not | riotinted_specs
02/12/2020 14:35 | Husbod, I disagree, today's price of copper is highly relevant when projecting pay back time on a mining project, and extrapolated onto finance costs. The better the prospect, the lower the costs of finance. | lefrene |
