SP Angel - Covid19 has slowed the preparation of the Alpala PFS but may ultimately prove an unexpected benefit by allowing the Alpala Project Committee a few additional weeks to ensure the fine-tuning and optimisation of a project expected to extend over more than 50 years. We will contain our enthusiasm to read the PFS for a few more weeks.

Great to have you back mk...

Can you find me one example where a predator held off a bid waiting for a PFS or similar...

If Barrick, BHP or the Chinese really want this they will ante up and not wait for any PFS...the risk is the stack of Regional news piled up...

China EV charging stations: China’s State Grid Co. set out plans on 20th November for 1.03m new public and private EV charging stations to serve 5.5m EV drivers including 540,000 public charging facilities.

The company estimate that some 50,000 personal charging stations will be built by the end of this year and that by the end of 2021 that >30% of ordinary personal charging stations will be upgraded to intelligent and orderly sharing charging facilities.

China expects to have some 300m EVs on the road by 2030 accounting for 50-50% of vehicle sales and consuming some 17% of total electricity consumption.

Quick off the mark Cornerstone with "bonanza grades"....

Espiritu drilling (Bramaderos project Ecuador) returns bonanza grades of 1.1m at 1064g/t silver, 0.2g/t gold, 5.5% zinc and 1.3% lead Pb, in one of multiple lodes

In fact you might conclude from Newcrest's reaction that they felt the project was marginal enough that a 1-1.5% royalty would seriously dent its value?

Yes but, from what you've been saying, the players in these games aren't exactly transparent are they?

The FNV deal was great for SOLG, no question. But it doesn't give any hint to Alpala costs or NPV or even profitability. It just suggests that FNV are confident Alpala will go into production and deliver a revenue stream. Of course that revenue stream will be huge.

So I presume the theory is that NM is knocking Alpala to deter bidders, while hoping he can get the share price up via an imminent deluge of explo drilling results, prior to revealing the true magnificence of the PFS. A couple of canny investors here have figured it all out, whilst BHP and NewCrest themselves are flummoxed. Despite NewCrest having had a man on the board for a good while. Who was withdrawn for reasons that still aren't particularly clear.

There is that possibility, I guess. But seems fanciful to me. How many here know the project well enough to be sure the costs etc are realistic?

Probably NM buying some time so he can keep on drilling .

No PFS ..no bid .

Amazing how quickly people forget their fears about dilution, etc. Or the potential reasons, revealed by today's RNS, for why the preferred route to explo finance may be off the table for a while.

Good surprises are welcome .

Whats the chances of finding that hole 2 at Porvenir actually went below 1500m with mineralisation.

And that Rio is actually up and running .?

Too much negativity over the last week . DD was taking over .

Why has the shareprice stayed healthy ? Many will know whats going on just like Cornestone who told us the PFS was delayed ..

The game is corrupt and always will be . Just watch an episode of Billion it not far.from the truth .

It's difficult to emotionally detach yourself from today's announcement. However, the news was effectively leaked last week and many had resigned themselves to an announcement of this nature.

The fundamentals have not changed, we are still overdue news on Porvenir and Rio should begin drilling later this month. I'm not holding my breath but we may get news from La Hueca or Blanca.

There is still no evidence to suggest the AGM will be anything other than routine. However, if there were to be concerted opposition, today's announcement will not have helped the Board. The market hates uncertainty and so lets hope the AGM remains routine.

The credibility gap has now widened. We can only hope that the strengthened governance structure will start to repair the gap. It's now essential that SOLG can demonstrate on time delivery and avoid further surprises.

The logic here is simple, the company is sat on vast real assets at a time when money creation has the presses boiling off the lubricant oil. Despite today's rns, it does indicate that they are refining the ways to tackle Alpala. I'd like to see Alpala sold, but I also understand the rationale of demonstrating that Solg can go it alone if necessary. Who will blink first? Having Valuestone join the party adds interest.

You are probably spot on....Valuestone (and their Chinese principals) definitely do not get out of bed only for a $5m investment (for a 0.6%. holding)....they would want to get closer to 3%....

MM don’t bash prices when it’s an order driven market ....a few short term mugs panicked and sold. In my opinion Chinese would’ve wanted much more than 0.6% and perhaps today was a chance for them to mop up some lose stock

Looks like the MMs took the opportunity to bash the price and panic sellers...you can't blame them...

But somebody must be buying them...some chunky bargains going through...Valuestone? Surely they wanted more than 0.6% and Nick probably told them "buy them in the market" knowing that would support the share price ..especially after the disappointing PFS news...

How long before we get a 3% Holdings RNS...and then watch the sparks fly...

AIMO as usual...
