All very interesting isn't it. An almost infinite number of permutations. Personally I am comforted by the three recent appointment to the Board. With their combined knowledge and experience I think we are in good hands.I haven't been here long enough to properly comment on NM but he seems to be a shrewd operator so all in all I'm happy to sit back and let them get on with it whilst we all add our own thoughts and observations.

Have you updated your personal preferences via "portfolio" ? You need to do this or they will not provide the route and thus the opportunity to vote.

husbod, bids are never guaranteed under any circumstances. However, the majors all have dwindling reserves, Tier 1 finds are vanishingly rare and Ecuador is one of the last un-tapped geographies. If SOLG have 3 Tier 1's and potentially more, I can't conceive of a situation where one of the majors won't launch a bid. To my mind, proving the reserves at Rio and Porvenir will have every major looking at us.

There have been various speculative discussions over potential bid prices. The reality is, it will depend on the timing of the bid, resources proven at that point, shareholder alliances etc. Most Tier 1's command a price of at least $1bn, even at an early stage of development. Being able to get 3 at once should command a premium and the other regional developments should start to command some value also.

At the moment, we still can't confirm resources at Porvenir, never mind Rio. Thus, we sit at our perennially low starting point waiting for lift-off.

Probably because they want hard evidence rather than NM's largely unsubstantiated hopes and expectations. That evidence is of course growing so it's just a question of at what point it is sufficient to satisfy the criteria of one of the big boys. They might also be satisfied with a take off agreement thereby putting the risk of development in a country with no mining history on us.There is no guarantee of any bid.

"...The share has recently shown excellent relative strength in a more challenging environment for precious metals. In the long term, the Company's decisive action during the Corona Crisis could pay off."

The 'hook' is that NM reckons he has at least 14 of these tier 1's. Selling just one of them for a sensible price would have enough dosh to have drills all over the lot of them, and still have circa 60 others to poke at. Why haven't one of these faint heart big hitters taken Solg over by now?

We're still on track to prove Porvenir as our second Tier 1.

I still believe that Rio will be the real jewel. Now that they aren't giving estimated grades, even if Rio commences drilling next week, it could be February before we get any real indication of what they find.

If we end up having 3 Tier 1's, it's inconceivable that a bid won't emerge.

Assuming they accelerate drill deployment to Rio in the same way as for Porvenir, it is possible we will have Porvenir MRE in April and Rio in June, substantiating their Tier status. It is at that point we are most likely to get a bid.

'Conclusion: Solgold is building up its exploration efforts rapidly at Porvenir with three rigs now on site and a fourth expected as soon as Covid19 restrictions permit. Results released so far from the first two holes of the programme show long intersections of copper/gold mineralisation from at or very close to surface. The initial efforts are directed at establishing the scale and shape of the mineralisation with the grades being reported so far also underlining why Solgold has elected to pursue an aggressive drilling strategy.'

Having said that we should have a much clearer knowledge of what we're sitting on within the next 18 months and that's when the majors will make their moveIf they do.I still like the idea of us becoming a major in our own right with off take agreements and if necessary some JVs.Funding one way or the other shouldn't be a problem if proven gold and copper resources are as per anticipated.

MF the 2019 Alpala PEA (available on Solg's web site) tells you all. Basically 5years to build, with first cash inflow ($800m)in year 6, building to over $3,000m in year 9. Overall cash flow positive (after repaying build cost) by year 13 ! Add another 3 years from now for DFS and financial close, and there you have it !
- Quite a long time to wait !
Will all change with updates of course. But probably by not much time-wise.

Loganair ! Brokers are always happy. They're trying to flog you the shares.

We are in all probability enterting a real Golden age for Gold & Copper which may not last forever? The quicker we can something into production the better? Lowtrawler how long is Eventually in your scenario? And loganair it is hardly surprisingthat some posters are becoming unnerved as the future of SOLG is so murky and uncertain.

It seems to me many of the posters on this thread are becoming more and more unnerved with Solgolds RNS's while what I've read from the brokers they are happy with the latest set of RNS's.

Done the right way, we can release sufficient funds to develop our other sites while retaining an interest in Alpala and Porvenir. Eventually, the cashflow from our retained interest will enable us to build out the other locations.

That`s fine too. I just had a moment in that we sell Alpala to BHP, sell POR to the Chines and then get on with RIO and all the others.

But as we agree it`s not down to us.

Arcadian, I would be disappointed if we sold any of our sites. Certainly we should monetize Alpala, maybe eventually Porvenir as well. Farm-ins, partnerships and JVs are a better way to go than a sale.

You get everything wrong Mr McKn. And I've noted a mean / snide little streak in your posts. Why don't you stick with your trade-spotting - and next time you might recognise when a dodgy trade indicates insiders.

Re Porvenir. It may well be quicker to build, and to repay capex. But don't forget Alpala has at least a 4-5 year head start in drill-defining the resource and planning a feasibility study.

MK, if we can believe any SOLG timelines, Alpala is 12 months from DFS and then 3 years to production, so 4 years in total. Even with accelerated assessment of Porvenir, we are likely at least 2 years from DFS. I suspect they will be pretty close to which goes into production first. The high quality core at Alpala means they are immediately very cashflow positive. We have yet to find the Porvenir core.
