26/11/2020 12:22 | LT - spot on, thank you. Z | zoros1
26/11/2020 11:56 | Indeed, DD needs a little help understanding these matters. | greenelf
26/11/2020 11:48 | Thanks LT...always constructive...never pretended to have any mining or engineering knowledge whatsoever... | rougepierre
26/11/2020 11:30 | DD, I don't believe any comment was made regarding the complexity of delivering the PFS. The comments related to public statements made by Nick: Early September - Still hope to achieve delivery of PFS by end September or early October. Early October - We haven't been able to finalise some technical data for the PFS and so it will be delayed by 3/4 weeks. MD&A - PFS to be delivered in Q4. CGP presentation - PFS will be delivered in Q1. It's not unreasonable to assume Nick knows what he is talking about? In early October, he was publicly saying the PFS was complete apart from technical work that would need a few weeks. I appreciate that the draft PFS will need extensive review which may result in additional work but to be so far away that the dates are pushed into Q1? I believe the comment you made was in relation to a view that the PFS ws actually complete but not being published for nefarious reasons? Ignoring what purpose may be served by not publishing a completed document, we can reasonably conclude, either: 1. The PFS is complete and ready to be published, or 2. Nick was ill-informed regarding the extent of outstanding work required and so was not fully in control of the delivery. Nobody on this Board knows for sure which of these 2 positions are true. To criticise someone for choosing to believe the former suggests that you believe the latter. To comment that by believing the former, RP needed to misunderstand the complexity of large scale engineering projects is untrue and to then extrapolate that untrue statement to infer an absence of business acumen is equally untrue. You seem determined to point criticism at posts without offering substantive arguments of your own. Rather than belittling people for their views, why not contribute by explaining why you have a different view? | lowtrawler
26/11/2020 10:58 | I used to think that but every placing over the last 12 months or so in companies in which I have a holding have ended up with the share price below the placement price. So have been able to top up more cheaply than if there had been a rights issue.I see from the Telegraph today that RTZ are having problems with the development of their absolutely massive Oyu Tolgoi copper mine in Mongolia. Good news for future copper prices in the near term. | husbod
26/11/2020 10:30 | Lefrene, Nor have I. But I welcome the detailed explanation and examples. Seems to show that they are aware of the fact that existing "retail" ordinary shareholders often want to participate in fundraisings rather than see these always being offered solely to funds/institutions. | pecker1
26/11/2020 10:22 | Never seen TWO RNSs like that let alone one... | rougepierre
26/11/2020 09:30 | I've never seen an RNS like that before, I presume NM is worried it might be a close call and needs every vote he can get. | lefrene
26/11/2020 00:47 | Yes BHP. We have it on good authority. Just waiting for confirmation. These rumours been circling for years. One day they will be true! | mam fach
25/11/2020 22:55 | 13.6% Z | zoros1
25/11/2020 22:48 | BHP holding 15% might be a bit of a clue... | goodgrief
25/11/2020 22:38 | New to this thread. Anyone in here heard the whispers of BHP looking to make an offer on Sogold? | deangt
25/11/2020 21:35 | A new member of the management team now listed, with impressive credentials, (Rio, Goldman Sachs, UBS, HSBC, Macquarie, Berenberg) FAWZI HANANO - Head of Investor Relations | pob69
25/11/2020 21:18 | cheers zoros...you'll do for me as they say round here... | rougepierre
25/11/2020 20:47 | Could the rejection of the Pebble Project in Alaska put SOLG in a stronger position with our copper resources especially? | cbeadle
25/11/2020 18:49 | DD - what r u on about? Z | zoros1
25/11/2020 18:45 | RP So you're an expert on the vast amount of work and reliance on other experts' detailed inputs involved in a mining economic analysis are you ? Did you once say you'd once run a company ? Must have been a fish and chip shop if that's all you know about large scale engineering projects ! | dozyduck
25/11/2020 18:39 | Rougepierre, your LSE posting @ 1725 - superb!!!! Z | zoros1
25/11/2020 18:35 | Latest RNS sounds like NM is cornered and desperate to hold the fort! Something has irked him big time - methinks Z | zoros1
25/11/2020 18:09 | pob69 - I agree in the most part postings on here should be read with a pinch of salt and doing your own research so that you can make your own sound investment decisions is wise. | michaelfenton
25/11/2020 17:55 | Agreed pob...erudite as always... | rougepierre |
