''These will be available in the following weeks and are expected to confirm the great potential of the operation, after the initial visual analysis.''

That would certainly be a smart move on SOLG's part...maybe the new NEDs are bringing rationality to proceedings...

I don't subscribe to the view that the AGM is anything other than routine. If CGP planned anything, they would be tabling their own resolutions. If anything is planned, it will come out over the next 2 weeks.

I think we have discussed the tardiness of SOLG enough. I am willing to allow the new NEDs time to make a difference on that front.

FWIW, my pet theory on the PFS delay, and recent silence regarding CFP, is that SOLG would struggle to get any CFP approved that excluded BHP or Newcrest. Consequently, I expect they are deep in negotiations with BHP / Newcrest regarding how Alpala is to be funded. I would like to think we will have a resolution prior to the AGM. I might be wide of the mark but we will find out soon enough.

You would...but he hasn't actually issued any good news for three weeks after a splurge of EIGHT Regional Exploration RNSs in five weeks...

Which gets people wondering...is he holding back good news...or even disappointing news...and it leaves the share price drifting after he had got back hold of it for that five week period...

As we know there is history between CGP and NM ....the AGM Votes may be a close run thing....even although Corp Governance has been beefed up etc....CGP perhaps have spoilers for debate showing how NM is not such a good guardian.....

Anyway you would expect NM wants to release good news well before then.....he cannot take any chances....IMHO

agreed goldrush but what concerns me is this...

if the statement is true on the CGP presentation, they could only have got it from an official source, in which case why hasn't it appeared in the MD&A or by way of RNS, because anyone would regard it as a material change (an implied delay of up to 6 months in a supposed 16 month timetable from here...?

And if CGP is making it up, as they appear to have done with other things, why wasn't it immediately rebutted by SOLG?

we've all been immensely patient on here waiting for news and for the share price to fairly reflect the underlying value but NM seems to be constantly dropping catches (which is unusual for an Australian...)

This is the guy who said he would put private investors interests first....clearly he meant himself...

having perused your sporadic erudite comments on SOLG, what exactly do you add...?

at least you always know where I stand, with a total of 900,000 shares between us...

I note you didn't comment on today's earlier posts...

Most probably this will go into the mix for the upcoming AGM.....you would think NM would want lotsa good news out before then !!

I've emailed the company.

The CLEAR statement on the CGP website implies a delay of UP TO SIX MONTHS on the PFS (from the original PFS date), despite the Franco Nevada funding to get it done.

It also implies at least a three month delay in the DFS (the current SOLG presentation implies end Q3 2021; CGP state Q4 2021.

Am I alone in increasing frustration at what starts to feel like a betrayal of trust...?

No news...and further unexplained delays...does Nick really want SOLG to become cannon fodder...?

CGP's stated value per share of Alpala on their November presentation means that it is worth an equivalent 97p/share for SOLG...

Who's kidding who...?

CGP lower ($5.65 cf $5.75) than it was on 15 September...

SOLG (37.55 cf 26.55) up 41%...

Ya boo sucks!!!

Maybe the talk of a new stimulation package under Janet will do the trick and reverse the decline.

There seems to be a determined attack upon the price of gold this week. Gold going down when trillions of created money is sloshing about, seems at odds with what one would expect. Does this perhaps have to do with deterring options holders from standing for physical delivery at the end of the month?

Give praise when it is due and reprimand when the company stuffs up. No point getting blinkers on when investing. Stupidity.

LF, many of the missed deadlines are petty. I have no reason to believe dates are ever issued other than in good faith. As per my post above, anyone who has worked with effective project managers will know that they never stop trying to deliver even when everyone else can see delivery timelines need to move.

Allowing Nick to express unrealistic dates is a failure of Corporate Governance rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead.
