Nope, and as I said when they released the previous RNS stating that they will increase to 50,000m that they know they have hit something big but they don't know how big. By now they must have a good indication of the grades, especially if they are visible in the drill cores:)

Of course we need to know the grades. We have been given some indicative grade content over the 2 announcements. Whilst this needs to be confirmed by assay, in broad terms, the grades appear consistent with Alpala outside the core. The second drill is targeting the core and, once assayed, that should give us a better comparison to Alpala.

Alpala has a big sister. Congratulations.

They know already, plenty of tech and expert knowledge on site, hence the big drilling campaign. A mere formality.

COM

Would they increase their rig numbers by degrees if they thought it low grade? Just thinking out loud

Majors can tolerate low grade if that is outweighed by pure volume and size

It is indeed very large, but until we receive the assay results we don't know the grades, shaping up to be another major find. Exciting stuff!

NM seems confident ! Larger thickness of mineralization than any of us had hoped for.

It's mahoosive !

One cup of solid gold core does not make a mine.

It is grades and volume.

It is about the grades, not the volume.

Checked for myself. Alpala is 1000x1000x500. Porvenir is 1000x1000x1700.So, over 3 times the volume of Alpala.

Yes Lowtrawler that's the way I read it.

Obviously the 2 nd drill is now the biggee if it in facts goes right through the centre....IMHO

As The Count says the assays results will be huge in the scheme of things....

Need to know the assay results and grade content. 50,000m of drilling should give a good overview of everything. These drill lengths are huge but we don't know the grade content, need to see the assay results.

Am I correct that it's roughly twice the volume of Alpala?

SolGold geologists interpret that the hole passed across the upper periphery of the core of a large, strongly mineralised porphyry copper-gold system.

"Rig 1 has now commenced the second hole, PDH-20-002, and we expect this hole to intersect EVEN LONGER and STRONGER mineralisation than the first".

I like this new bold stance even if until we get the possible good news we are still dreaming.

'Sometimes there are predictable swings, over reaction to news for example. However, the potential gains from top slicing are outweighed by returns from a buy and hold strategy. Without a bid, I expect us close to 100p in the next 6 months. A successful bid will need to exceed 150p and, if both Porvenir and Rio are tier 1, should exceed 200p. There aren't many shares where you have that potential with the backstop that is Alpala.'

Absolutely spot on. This paragraph sums why most of us are here
