It is just be possible that some people buy shares with a view to the medium or even long term and even those who have an eye to the short term may buy out of a fear or being locked out in a fast moving market where the sky may be the limit or something like that in a bid situation.

DD,

Each to their own. I've spent some of the day looking at the graphics from Jason Ward's presentation this am and thinking about the huge economies of scale if another of the four/five other possible porphyry sites at Porvenir came good as well as Cachaposa whose very first drill suggests a tier one discovery: One central plant serving both mines and so forth.

With every week that passes the commercial options open to Solg will increase.

Rougepierre. .

The reason for buying more is .

1. I might be wrong .

2. Its cheaper than ever , we now look like we have 2 tier 1,s
3. More drilling results at Blanca and
Amarillo to come plus LaHueca
4. PFS to come at some stage .
5. Possible bid .

6. Even if i am right a 5% equity raise
Will not affect the Sp much

7. If it is an equity raise its already in the price .

8. The price i bought at was 37.4 not 37.7

9. I watched 2.7 million buys go through without a rise .

10. As yet there was no large sell .

11. Nm made the mistake before of not raising funds early and paid for it having to raise at 21p
Not 38p and had to stop drilling because at that time money was not as easy as it is today .

12. Last time he raised the price went from around 29p to 21p . This time we have pulled back from 43.9 to 37.3 on good news .some profit taking of course .

We're all in a very strange mood today.
Everything that can be said has been said.
Only few days more to find out which direction SOLG being taken.

I think LT is right. Its fear of CGP rejection which must mean its plotting something.

Of course BHP would have to cough up, but that wouldn't be us NEEDING to raise, but BHP WANTING to increase their stake...

When BHP bought a stake at 45p it was extremely bullish...

But we have all the funds we need to take Alpala through to the DFS and Funding...

The last discretionary issue we made was at 21.5p and it took the share price more than two months to recover...

To repeat...its not needed and it makes no sense...

However, if BHP wants to increase their stake at 50p a share and it helps NM's defence, bring it on...the funds will be well spent proving up 1, 2 or even three new Tier Ones...

I still say its nuts to bang on about needing a raise and then blowing £18k on shares within minutes...

Writing about the idea Nick could do a 70p placement with BHP actually put a smile on my face. It would raise over £300m and protect us from silly bids. Another one for my dream collection.

We certainly don't need to raise for a while yet but I agree with LT, if you want to be part of what's discovered here then cough up. I can see a raise being much higher especially if drill results keep coming in like they have.

Rp, when you say it always leads to a price fallback, that's not strictly true. When we did the 45p raise with BHP, the price rose to match. Maybe Nick plans a raise at 70p with BHP to take their stake up to 29%

What requisitioned meeting...

No notice has been given and I believe they need 3 weeks under the Articles of Association...

So that's 4 November at the earliest...the day after the US Elections...that would be very high risk for CGP...

We could do with a clear statement of support from BHP (maybe even taking up the board position vacated by Newcrest). That would stop the requisitioned meeting in its tracks.

So if you're expecting an equity raise, which ALWAYS leads to a price fallback, why would you blow another £18k on shares...makes no sense...

Personally I see no need for an equity raise this year because they have been so hampered on drilling by COVID since the last $40m raise...

But by keeping on insisting you will eventually damage the share price when there is no need...

I respect you but your recent posts make no sense...

Think the price is reflecting an expected rejection by cornerstone followed by requisitioned meeting. Might drop again tomorrow when formally announced.I expected additional news applying pressure on cornerstone today. Disappointed none. What is happening at la Hueca?

I am not looking for an equity raise but i think its coming . After looking at the trading it smells of an equity raise

They will need the money soon ,better if its at a higher price .

MK...why are you arguing for an equity raise...are you nuts...?

And especially why, having been so vehement about it (which would damage the SP), would you then go out and spend another £18k on SOLG shares...

Is it that important to be right...?

Personally, I also disagree...no funding needed this year, but NM would be daft not to raise a few at 50p plus when we get there...

AIMHO as usual...

Well i couldnot stop myself buying another 50k at 37.40 . I dont think it will be long for that purchase to be well in the money .

Cheapest ever imho after listening to JW today and reading pob69,s and Mirabeaus articles .

Here's Jason Ward's in depth porphery slides from his very informative presentation at Arlington Group Asset Management Big Copper Porphyry Wave-Riders Club. Video of the whole event will be worth re-watching

My interest is further peeked with Porvenir with the "new target" SW of Bartolo, both of which are south of Target 15 (Cacharposa - the new biggie). Plenty of information there for geologists, which is beyond my paygrade.

MK, An MRE requires around 16 drill holes. At about $0.5m - $1m per hole, that's approximately $12m per site. We have more than $40m of funding available for regional exploration. Enough to do both Rio and Porvenir to MRE with a lot left over.

Lowtrawler do you now agree we will need to raise again to complete the drilling program? If Río Amarillo is a hit and they decide to put more rigs on we will need a bit more .

Of course if NM knows the Sp Will be 50p in 10 days he may well wait as he should but that remains to be seen .

Cornerstone in the meantime are probably going to let slip the chance of a lifetime as Porvenir looks to be higher grande than Alpala and a few times bigger as well as cheaper and quicker to bring online than Alpala .. i would wait for the next drilling results and then sell Alpala .
