Sirius were part of a consortium in the bid for 119..No evidence to say we arent part of the nnpcl consortium but equally no evidence to say we are ..

That's a shame. I was kinda hoping that the COPDC-TENDE consortium might be able to tag that on to their other conquests!

OML 119 looks to be on its way to a consortium of Nnpc-Tullow-Petralon. Sirius submitted a $500m bid some years ago but it disappeared into the usual black hole.

'This lot are not embarrassed about anything, especially all the salaries they have extracted from the co. Without any investor return.'

bestdeal.....I hope you don't mind me writing that I find you a total tosspot. The BOD failed to mention the fact that 18 other contenders were applying for blocks 18 and 31 with the possibility of competing against this lot. a point that a Tende researching poster uncovered....and you failed to comment on. All you could do is slag a fellow poster off...you're a waste of time.

If you don't want to know the truth......don't read my posts.

In two weeks we will have the accounts for 2023. Then we will have some sort of information about what has been going on. Of course it may or may not be info that we want to hear.

I wonder if just 'putting our name in the hat'.....was as far as we actually got?....unaware that there were nine potential bidders for each block and the company are now embarrassed that it's as far as it got.?

I'm more worried about consolidation now, Even a T/O could be done on the premise of a consolidation prior, and that will likely wipe out any chance of a decent return. Although right now I'd happily offload at 2p just to be done

Edgein''

I was merely pointing to the fact that if we had a share issue on the same scale as proposed by TRP....it would wipe all current holders, who have been here for many years...out. It seems that companies have no qualms in issuing shares by the billions at a time....just to survive, hoping it will erase previous failures. As bad as things seem here, we don't want to go down that road...(and yet...no mention of how the Angola debt is to be accomplished.)

cheers.

Ht Post 137544,

Are you suggesting things are worse at TRP than they are here? lol

Not sure how raising the pre-drill costs for the NJOM-3 well is a bad thing for TRP. Especially as they're in detailed discussion with a company willing to pay cash in excess of $15m (plus production payments) for a minority interest in TRP's smallest asset (TRP's cap is just £6.6m even after the recent placing).

They're also at draft document stage for farming out South Africa too with partial back costs.

Moreover their CEO will reply to emails typically by the end of the same working day when emailed (he has done on many occasions) with actual factual and truthful responses.

TRP are lining up to drill early Q1, when is this outfit going to drill a well, we're still waiting for Ororo to be drilled!

I just wish I could sell these and top up on TRP before they drill NJOM-3, not much chance of that from the looks of it. So yes things are infinitely better at TRP right now.

Regards,
Ed.

Wth ref to..'are SPA deposits refundable?'

the reply being..

'...From this stems the rule that deposits in law are not refundable if the buyer cancels the contract before completion.'(presumably that's if iether party cancels)

If the deal goes through, the deposit will count as part of the full payment.

ps...ETU propose to float. as a result of the completion of the $400m GALP deal...yet no mention of the $370 ETU/Tende one.The fact that it's ignored is not a good sign.

I find it rather odd that ETU have mentioned several acquisitions that they are involved with, but no mention from them about Angola blocks 18/31/24 and no mention of the JV or consortium between them and Tende.

Dr. Rosso has assured us that formal approval was given a long time ago, but there has been no mention by anyone about final completion ie signing off all of the legal stuff and final payment of the balance. If the deal has crashed at the final hurdle, then it is possibly because Tende has failed to raise the balance of the funding, and I think it is generally believed that it was Tende's job to arrange the funding.

Of course this is all pure speculation on my part, but if the deal has collapsed then it would not be unreasonable to expect both ETU and Tende to remain silent on the matter. And indeed they are both remaining silent.
