With the Republicans and the Democrats making drug pricing a bugbear, the whole sector is under pressure and maybe, some concern is rubbing off on Sinclair.Nonetheless, the fall is pronounced here and I hope it doesn't suggest that trading has deteriorated .

Yes SoundBuy, but what is the gap between valuation of SPH by SPH and what a buyer is prepared to offer! IMHO,

The 'disposal' so far achieved more than could have been hoped for, not the most attractive aspect of the co. either. Reckon the real interest lies in the aesthetics, many potential buyers in the frame ...... not that that guarantees a sale, all in the valuation.......

Well fellow investors the next set of results will be very interesting, will they show that SPH are doing very well i.e. profits piling in and maybe a dividend for long suffering investors. IMHO I do not think that a potential buyer is out there, so why are SPH still on the takeover panels list.

Schroders continue to buy Sinclair Pharma shares.

Peel Hunt recently sold 191,227 shares between 38.7p and 39.25p. Schroders immediately bought 191,227 shares at 3904523p.

Schroders now hold 5.57%.

As a long term holder of Sinclair Pharma I am pleased to see Schroders slowly but surely increasing their stake in the company. A very positive sign.

EBB. Abstracted from finals (1) and Alliance completion RNS (2).

(1) At 30 June 2015, cash and cash equivalents were £12.7m (2014: £17.5m) with net debt of £42.2m (2014: net debt of £40.2m).

(2) Sinclair is now a pure-play highly differentiated aesthetics company, operating in a high growth, self-pay market with high gross margin. Sinclair's balance sheet has now been transformed, leaving the Company with a pro-forma net cash position of £82m...

Looks like ADVFN info is not correct.

Yesterday, the 17/2/16, Schroders bought a further 276,527 shares in the company and now own 5.520%.

Schroders know what the potential is here.

I wonder if Schroders bought any more shares today!!!

The 'Financials' page for SPH on ADVFN says that they have Net Debt of £167.18 million and thus Gross Gearing of 63%.

Is that still correct after they did the big sale late last year? I thought they ended up with about £82 million in cash less some milestone payments they had agreed for previous acquisitions. i.e. Cash rich and no gearing.

Maybe the ADVFN figures are based on their last annual report y/e June 15. But then the disposal was only worth £132 million.

Can someone put me straight on this. Ta

Schroders must have some very bright and well informed people working for them, not to mention George Soros's lot, Tosca fund, etc.
Certainly gives one a reassuring feeling!

Schroders have been quietly buying and now own 27,055,347 shares in the Company which represents 5.439% of the equity.

They must see potential.

I'm looking forward to the next RNS from the Company.

Good Luck to all fellow long term holders.

Company Update

Rejuvenated growth

Following the divestment of its non-aesthetics business and portfolio of 27 products to Alliance Pharma for £132m in cash, Sinclair Pharma will be a pure play aesthetics dermatology company with exciting growth prospects, improving margins and a debt-free balance sheet. Our revised valuation implies a target price of 52p: Buy.

Ops, i just realised re a dividend ( last post) we can't get one as the company has no retained earnings so can't pay a dividend.( thats the problem of holding shares in a company that has never made a profit)
Oh and back to salaries CEO picked up more than £750,000 and his oppo more than £500k in 2014, Bit difficult to justify those on a turnover of £34m going forward and probably still loss making.
