Silence Therapeutics (LON:SLN) has long been a favourite of Richard Griffiths, the founder of stockbroker Evolution, and he was back in the market this week to top up his already extensive holding.

Griffiths bought more than 11mln shares in the global leader in the discovery, development and delivery of novel RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics for the treatment of serious diseases.

That took his holding up to just under 137mln shares, raising his stake to 7.31% from 6.71%.

Frankly amazed when I consider that this was at c. 0.7p back in June! Not too far from my b/e now. Dare I hope for a little extra on top? Happy days indeed, long may they continue!

Can't believe it Rg increased his holding to 7% next stop 101? Soooo tempted to top up but keep waiting for the price to take a breather which it quite simply ignores day after day after day 80p party now wouldn't that be something!!! I am so envious of those that bought in at sub 2.5p Ah well never mind there were times when I thought I would never get my capital back Not worried now What a tremendous 6 months!!!!

The value of the company is its global patents (protected) with big pharmas coming on board. The tech has shown positive results on it delivery. The company (hopefully) will show advances in various treatments through it's phase trials which I understand will result in milestone payments.

Although the company has yet to make a profit, the protected nature of its valuable global patents should justify it's value above the current levels.

DOR

p.s. I have been a long term investor and felt the painful losses. Hopefully the true value will be realised over 2-5 year timescale.

The last few posts read like a potted version of trading styles :-)

Just one other: with news on the horizon, I will hold, adding when I see an opportunity. GL all

I only bought these this morning but the strength and determination of the buying suggests something more fundamental than pure trading. I bet Griffith's knows something! Milestone payments due?
