Good to hear you are not caught up in the fires Eagle.
We had friends that lived in Great Dunmow years ago,they now live in Chelmsford.
We used to go to a pub with a large green....I can't remember the name of it.
The misses is doing very well thanks.We see the Consultant on the 22nd January,and all being well we will be back out in Tenerife until the end of March.
It's a cold misty morning here in Norfolk......we are also 40 degrees!!
Hope you had a good Christmas in Blighty.

Thanks Geoff, no they are not too close, but a work colleague had to evacuate his family on Tuesday. Luckily all was OK. It is hot here though, temps topping 40c in a lot of areas all over Aus. To think last week I was in rainy Gt Dunmow, now Sydney and Gold Coast for the hot weekend. I think the rescue services are getting it all under control now, but as anywhere you can't legislate for lunatics starting fires deliberately. Hope The missis is doing good and you both have a healthy 2013. Eagle

ATU027 passes phase 1 successfully,enters phase 1b and then phase2 and end this positively at turn of the year could have a drug then worth more than £500m pre phase 3.And then if they have one from the owned molecules they can have many more.Upside significant,downside limited whilst the wave builds momentum.

Possibly 5p may be a hard nut to crack though. And are our new investors simply mopping up shares quietly or is there a deal being done from ex-shareholders? When are we expecting the next set of news? That could be the catalyst for the next step up.

Good volume day, havent seen those since late November/Early December when we jumped from circa 3.2p to 4.8 - could this be the next step up!!?? Fingers crossed. Happy New Year to all.

The buying has to be intrinsically linked to confidence in the company......as we approach phase 2 this year, someone is happy with progress! Could see a move today by looks....

FP I have to admit I wonder what his intention is re acquiring shares I can't imagine that he will stop @ 6% Could he be looking for another 4 or 9% either way the share price will rise from here & that is w/o a fab RNS Personally would love to see 10p but b/e @ 7.5p will do nicely. Have to admit have been watching SAR of late & have considered switching as news is anticipated & SAR could easily double overnight!! NAI

Hi UKEagle So pleased to see the resurgence in SLN altho without any constructive news or rumours of leaks I do worry at the level of the Company's cap value. Having sed that I wonder where we might head if we do actually release positive news in the form of an RNS Personally we owe a lot of this resurgence to the new management & clearly their ability to attract new investors who are taking a sizeable piece of the action since the placing was announced Oh how I wish I'd had the guts to buy @ sub 2p as I would have been in profit by now Now I need a strong RNS to get to my break even & what a year ago I thought would never happen I no longer am so sure. Good luck & enjoy the British weather. Hardly aany contributors to this thread which also bodes well NO Trolls!!

How are you Bill? Agree that now we've made it to the sub 5p level it could be a gate to a recovery of some sort (or am I hoping?). Management now seem to know how to play the right games, so gotta give them a chance to build some SH value. Nice for my trip back to blights if 5p was breached before Xmas. GLA investors as usual. Up to 100,000 patients with cancer and rare diseases are to have their DNA fully mapped as part of a drive to revolutionise NHS treatment.

The Government has earmarked £100 million for the project in England over the next three to five years in a bid to develop new tests and better care that could save thousands of lives.

David Cameron said he wanted to "push the boundaries" by introducing genetic sequencing to a mainstream health service for the first time.

"Britain has often led the world in scientific breakthroughs and medical innovations, from the first CT scan and test-tube baby through to decoding DNA," he said.

"It is crucial that we continue to push the boundaries and this new plan will mean we are the first country in the world to use DNA codes in the mainstream of the health service.

"By unlocking the power of DNA data, the NHS will lead the global race for better tests, better drugs and above all better care. We are turning an important scientific breakthrough into a potentially life-saving reality for NHS patients across the country."

The Government's Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies, said the NHS already analysed single genes in cancer tests and to check patients' risk of suffering side effects from treatment.

"At the moment, these tests focus on diseases caused by changes in a single gene," she said. "This funding opens up the possibility of being able to look at the three billion DNA pieces in each of us so we can get a greater understanding of the complex relationship between our genes and lifestyle."

The £100 million, which comes from existing NHS budgets, will go on training genetic scientists, mapping patients' DNA, and creating systems for handling the information.

Patients will be asked for permission before their DNA is sequenced, and data will be anonymised before it is stored.
