penycae- should get to about £38.50 minimum to match the high in USA after the spike recently but perhaps not today .

nobody will know that and hence I just focus on the intra day chart each day and look for trading opportunities - US leads after about 11.30am and then really takes over from 2.30 when physical market opens

takeover rumours in USA I suppose but grear for trading if very quick on trigger as up and down like a yoyo .

Great thing about putting out a statement re manning bid defences,is that it inflates your own stock price so you can more easily takeover other companies!!

For those that believe in charts and TA - a classic bull flag has just formed - if it plays out then we should see continuation of previous rises starting now.

I dont think so.
The target needs to be of a certain size etc for Pfizer to get the tax benefits it wanted (so I've been told).
Shire wouldnt fit that bill

It could tick that box for another company maybe, but apparently not Pfizer.

Sven - possibly, though at the current share price I reckon it's a good bet in its own right and a decent core holding for growth and income.

really came off in USA after rocketing early on on Friday and struggled yesterday ! But maybe Uk will be lead market and it will recover today .
