04/9/2020 10:13 | I keep saying I wish I had taken £2 a year ago and sailed off into the sunset. It seemed such a good opportunity though with all the hard work done - or so I thought. The lesson is once again drilled home. Take modest profit and shoot off!! | daveboy1
04/9/2020 09:42 | I am so sure that a deal will not be announced in September that I'm going to offload the lot on the next random spike upwards. I'll only be breaking even but willing to take the risk tbh. Money could have making money somewhere else over the last 6 months. | lako42
04/9/2020 09:34 | I have to admit tried to sell this morning, albeit only 1,000 to move into SNG and could not get a quote for 30 mins and just gave up. Maybe it's a sign to just hold tight here. | adman50
04/9/2020 09:32 | Tbh I am not impressed with the CEO either, he is a CFO turned CEO and lacks certain communication skills. If he delivers the deal then I will put my hand up. | frrinvest
04/9/2020 09:27 | It goes up then down in trends on low/no volumes. This is a worn pattern of which the company does little to improve upon despite claiming shareholder value is a major priority. Yet all we have had is a nigh on 50% decline in the year since major news was announced. An insistence on finding the right deal despite this suggests shareholder value is quite some way down the list of priorities, and you can thumbs it down all you like, but data and numbers are king!! | daveboy1
04/9/2020 09:24 | They have dropped the price but can't buy. Tried 2000 to buy and failed. | frrinvest
04/9/2020 09:09 | Wow. Some people getting stung here. Each to their own I suppose. MMS rubbing their hands. | peachie 74
03/9/2020 22:59 | As has been said in previous comments, they will announce a US deal at some point in the future because their stated strategy is to partner - they simply do not have the resources to build and finance a sales force in the US (or it seems anywhere else for that matter). In that sense, this is not a binary event because the can only be one eventual outcome. We are still technically in summer (even tho it may not feel like it in some parts) so Tim Watts has not yet failed to meet his aspirations in terms of the "summer months" timeline. Even if this drifts, there will come a point where they will have to accept the best deal on offer even if this doesn't quite meet their "right deal" expectation. | whatno
03/9/2020 18:07 | They have said hope all along. Nothing new. CEO said odds very good of it happening | peachie 74
03/9/2020 17:55 | It’s from the PR company FFS ! Doubt Lianne has repeated the answer from the CEO !! Crikey. | peachie 74
03/9/2020 17:06 | Adam Diversity spread the risk Is key eggs in one basket risky investment strategy especially in biotech/pharma | best1467
03/9/2020 16:17 | Really have no idea how you can take September for a deal from that. Sounds very much like a push back to me. The update in September is clearly just for the results and a few lines to say 'we are working on a deal' | lako42
03/9/2020 14:22 | So September then as I read it. Fantastic | bobaxe1
03/9/2020 13:11 | Don't hold your breath, chaps - it's during 2020 now, and 'hope' ffs! Hi David, Thank you for your email and continued support in the Company. I believe the Company has previously stated that they hope to ‘conclude a partnering agreement in the USA during 2020’ and stated that the Company was ‘working to close a transaction at the earliest opportunity.’ Shield has always made it clear that the Company wouldn’t rush into a deal if it wasn’t right for its strategy and ultimately provide shareholder value but that it is a top priority of the Company to conclude a partnering agreement in the US. The information you have asked for would be deemed material and the Company would have to issue an RNS to provide such an update. I will of course pass your feedback on to the Company, and I’m sure Shield will make an update in due course. As you may be aware, the Company is required to issue its Interim Results by the end of September, and will most likely provide an update on these matters then. Would you like to be added to the Shield distribution list? This will mean you’ll receive all future, relevant investor communications going forward. Many thanks, Lianne Lianne Cawthorne Associate Director - don't forget to thumbs down me for this also whoever you are - thanks! | daveboy1
03/9/2020 10:42 | When they said 'by the end of summer' I didn't realise they were actually aiming to get it as late as possible. | lako42
03/9/2020 10:28 | It's a binary event, either there is a deal or there isn't. And really it's just a question of when because they don't have the infrastructure to sell it themselves. | nobbygnome
03/9/2020 10:25 | I've e-mailed them. Not expecting much back, but will let you know if a reply is forthcoming. It's stagnating, with that annoying trickle down wiping thousands off my portfolio once again... | daveboy1
03/9/2020 10:19 | Indeed. Getting a little impatient now myself I must admit, but that means it is certainly time to log off and do something more productive, as no good will come from listening to the 'inner chimp', or whatever it is called! I did have an idle read through the old comments on this board and a couple of others last night though. A small sample of history, which in some cases have aged well, while some others, less so. Fascinating all the same. GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
03/9/2020 10:17 | performance here matching the weather today. Sadly it's not due to pick up until after hours. | lako42
03/9/2020 10:16 | Haha I'm annoyed I chose this over 4D now. Let's hope my decision is soon vindicated. | adman50
03/9/2020 08:51 | Looking out of the window, summer appears to be well and truly over! It's like waiting for the second coming here !! | daveboy1
02/9/2020 14:13 | Just had another 1k nibble | bobaxe1
01/9/2020 17:04 | September a big month. Even with covid delays i think H1 numbers will need to be published this month and with previous indications of a summer deal i strongly suspect CEO will want to announce US deal prior to H1 numbers. We know this has been the focus for the last few months (there's no point saying it's taken 13 months as there was clearly a potential deal either late last year/early this year that fell through - hence the ex CEO was forced to resign. This meant that negotiations had to be restarted, approx 5 months ago) and no news is good news really as this shows that STX are in negotiations. CEO plays it by the book and doesn't even drop little hints e.g. pleased with progress etc, as other CEOs tend to do. It could drop any day or even a 1pm one as US company may want to announce it simultaneously. Good luck all | shandypants2
01/9/2020 13:28 | I suspect everyone has taken their positions now and without any real further buying pressure, we might see a little further drift down until news. Ultimately, who already here is really going to sell up before we get news now? Unless you had a sudden and immediate cash flow issue, the potential here with a good deal would surely outweigh the risk of a disaster? It does for me anyway, but each to their own etc. Hopefully not much longer now! GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
01/9/2020 12:56 | Not been a lot of appetite for this in the last few trading days. Last ditch scare from the market? | itshenderz |
