I'm just watching the town hall meeting from just a year ago. I'm only 5 minutes into it and already Paul's first false statement which is that G3 was expected by the end of FY2022. |
Boon. Thanks for the date. Is that just for fleet vehicles or all vehicles in Europe?
Why also did you say that non monitored guardian don't count towards the installed base? My understanding is that all sales into fleet vehicles will count, but they won't necessarily all be using the monitoring service? |
Date is July 2024. Not all oem units will be monitored so don't count towards the installed base. |
The director buys are always welcome, but it annoys the hell out of me that they are only now showing confidence in the future prospects. What this demonstrates is that despite the hype over the past few years since Paul took over that he never believed the hype coming out of his own mouth.
I asked over 30 questions in the investors meets presentation, but only a couple were answered in the follow up written replies posted today. |
AMT. True. They can convert at 11p, but if the share price is 5p they won't. Instead they'll ask for their money back.
Boon. They shouldn't be conservative or too optimistic. They should be using all of the information they have to provide realistic forecasts.
Forget the monitoring part for a second and focus on the statements they made in the results presentation around Guardian sales be it G3 or G2,the GSR drop dead date, the fleet vehicle production numbers per year in Europe of 330K and then their statements about growth to 2026 and it doesn't make any sense.
If we are starting from 51,000 units already fitted and add just 10% per annum of just the 330,000 European production of fleet vehicles (33,000) then by 2026 we would have installed 150,000 units and that's just Europe and a derisory 10% of a market where we were told there were no other players until Smarteye joined the party and then Paul's latest contradiction where he said there are multiple suppliers. Instead they are using 30% compounded across the whole market which only gets us 112K.
Again does anyone know the drop dead date for GSR,fleet and cars etc? Is everything the same date now? |
"Following these purchase, Mr McGlone is now beneficially interested in 8,450,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.20 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company." |
Nv I thought Magna option price was 11p ? So not that much dilution |
3 years time and we should be significantly ahead of the conversion price by then.We also have the opportunity to extend the exclusivity in 2025 if necessary. |
They've conservatively stated 10% of the oem market which is 33,000 a year. They've also said that not all these will take up the monitoring aspect. In fact they expect less than 50%.Therefore the monitored units doesn't go up as much as some expect.I think they're being very conservative with the numbers. |
I also agree with the poster regarding the Magna CLN. This was not all it was cracked up to be because in 2 years time we either have to pay the money back or face dilution. At 5p that will be significant. |
I thought Brockwl posts this morning were spot on.
Paul contradicts himself constantly and often in the same presentation.
He has often said, and I particularly remember the last town hall, that we had no competition in Fleet and in almost all cases we are the only ones to respond to RFQ's. However, in the result presentation he now says that there are many competitors,
Then they said that growth in aftermarket is predicted to grow by 30% to 2026 which would take installations globally to circa 112,000, however, they then said that GSR regulations in Europe would alone be worth 330,000 fleet vehicles per year from 2024 (I think that's the drop dead date?).
It doesn't make any sense.
If we are one of only a couple / few suppliers (remember at the town hall we were the only supplier) then why can't we expect to add at least 100,000 fleet vehicles per year from Europe alone from 2024?
Also they have stated that they have only just started to work on an aviation product with nothing expected until mid 2025. So what the he'll was he playing at in the Italian Job when he stated they expected a 330 aircraft order by the end of CY2022.
I'm lost now on the various drop dead dates for European DMS / OMS. Can someone provide a definitive date for when these systems have to be installed in cars and fleet vehicles? |
What would be interesting who approved Stephane Vedie the chair or CEO. Maybe more is going on in the background and a ready made CEO to step in which has plenty of experience |

Skinny I have to comment....why didn't SEE get their own patent sorted before this...surely they would have had more leverage? |
Ali for you....relevant because last year we had this arrangement.... |
'Responsive to detection of driver drowsiness and/or detection of driver attention, the vehicular driver monitoring system may generate an output. The output generated by the vehicular driver monitoring system may include an output selected from the group consisting of (i) a visual output viewable by the driver of the vehicle, (ii) an audible output generated by an audio device in the vehicle and (iii) a haptic output generated by a haptic device in contact with the driver of the vehicle.'
Unashamedly copied from John Chukka thanks John! |
Lovely big trade. |
Wow more director trading!
I reckon things are looking up. The share price doesn't reflect value in my opinion. |
