23/1/2021 18:25 | Lets not skirt around the issue, the oxygen thieving STUPIDINVESTER would love it if the vaccine roll out was delayed simply to try and prove a point. SICKO. The fact is that Saga is hugely undervalued at £2.95 and even if the cruises didn't commence till late this year or early next the current share price would not be affected much, in fact it would probably continue to climb regardless, such is the clamour for bookings with 2022 bookings at an all time high in terms of advance bookings compared to the past. Lets not forget the other non cruise related parts of the business which are massively funded by the loyal SAGA client base. So in a nutshell the Stupidinvester really is on another level stupid. He needs to carry on getting off on his Daily Sport reading on his own and leave the clever investing to those that know how. I hope this was easy to understand even for a simple person like the stupidinvester with a poor grasp of English and investing | antonagis

23/1/2021 18:07 | Why? The AstraZeneca vaccine isn't even approved in Europe. The EU has only approved Pfizer, Moderna and the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V in Hungary. But not AstraZeneca. And that article mentions NOTHING about cruising. Pathetic attempt to mislead. | fjgooner
23/1/2021 17:52 | That's European Cruise's knocked on the head till 2022.But it's ok antonagis think if we just vaccinated some English people we'll be grand . | cleverinvester

23/1/2021 16:51 | sf5, That's the whole point - this data CAN ONLY get better every day. 478,248 additional people in the UK were vaccinated on Friday (the highest daily total to date), giving a total of 5,861,351 vaccinated, potential Saga travel customers. These fine people will be ready to roll by May 17th at the absolute latest. This is calculated as the second jab date plus 14 days for those receiving their first jab only on Friday – so the vast majority will be ready way before this date. Indeed, 468,617 had already received their second jab by Friday. The greatest thing is that these totals are only going to go up every single day - what a superb position to be in. Further updates coming from Bloomberg regarding the biggest vaccination campaign in history. More than 60.3 million doses in 55 countries have been administered, according to data collected by Bloomberg. The latest rate was roughly 2.95 million doses a day, on average. The end of the economically restricting period of this pandemic is getting nearer with every day. | fjgooner

23/1/2021 13:08 | Great posts this morning. Will certainly be countered with more useless information from the STUPIDINVESTERS favourite tabloid The Daily Sport | antonagis
23/1/2021 12:59 | Good posts from beachbum1978, netcurtains and ianian4. We are all aware of the current problems as well as the plus points. Most of us on here have the ability to look longer term, as opposed to just this year and the current problems.(eg stupidinvester). | stretford1964
23/1/2021 11:37 | Saga equity release. Great idea, get the cash now to spend on saga cruises and insurance products so you dont have to pass it on to the young, who are of course none saga customers | ianian4
23/1/2021 08:23 | Leaflets going through doors this week from Saga for house insurance renewals. Are Saga quite popular for house insurance amongst the over 50s? This is an ever expanding market for Saga as more and more over 50s own their houses out right and thus their house insurance policy is no longer linked to a mortgage - this leaves a lot of room for Saga to expand into. This is also true for Saga equity release. This must be an ever expanding market | netcurtains

23/1/2021 07:16 | Why are Saga plc. the best placed UK company to resume operations? Vaccines aside. Let's look at their clientele, product and vessels. Clientele - Saga are exclusively for the over 50s. That said, it's common knowledge that their average age is higher. Baby-boomers make up a core of their demographic. A generation that not only tend to have the financial resource to cruise but moreover, are already retired. Meaning that work constraints won't be a deciding factor when the 'call to cruise' comes. Product - Saga have predominately sailed ex-UK over the years. They're also one of the few companies who've made a success out of 'cruises to nowhere', a cruise purely consisting of days at sea that may well be the first type of cruise offered by any company. Also being ex-UK, from a #covid point of view means that they're able to control the embarkation process from door-to-gangway. Mitigating the risk of their passengers picking up anything along the way. Vessels - Their ships are large but only carry a maximum of 999 passengers. Physical distancing almost takes care of itself. They'll cap the numbers at 800. A lesser hit than other #Cruise companies will need to take at <20%. | beachbum1978
22/1/2021 21:26 | Cleverinvester would clearly be delighted if the vaccine didn't work or wasn't as effective as initially thought. That much is obvious. Sicko | antonagis |
