Positive booking update on CCL with the change in covid requirements. Up 5% and may get some read across tomorrow.

Tom218 - I really think there is enough margin to cover the 3 year term and without needing the recruitment of new insurance clients so saving costs.
I am pretty sure the sums have been done to allow for a bit of inflation etc!

Hi Martin44. My worry on the 3 year was on Sagas behalf, ie could be a great deal for consumer but bad for Saga in a time of high inflation. Saga getting a premium at rate set 3 years ago with claims coming in on new higher than expected costs. Regards

Tom218 I would have no worries here on the 3 year plans it works the same way as a fixed energy contract you pays your money and takes your choice! Basically you pay for peace of mind and some extras thrown in! Which is why I do the cheapest policies on Saga and why my wife for ‘peace of mind’ buys the 3 year plan! We are both very happy with the service…

Scare for me here would be that they could come unstuck on the 3 year policies with inflation running high. Any way of mitigating that risk?

Some large trades earlier perhaps clearing an overhang. Chart is turning here. Big director buy of £1m in November @292.9p. fcst P/E=5 and a PEG =0.1

The current share price isn’t much different to what it was in the midst of Covid when both ships were confined to port.

Trading Update Highlights.
05 July 2022

2022/23 Cruise booked load factor at 2 July 2022 of 73% and expected full year load factor of around 75%.

EXPECTED to generate 2022/23 Underlying Profit Before Tax of £35-£50m.

The bulk of the debt is asset backed and they have almost £200m cash (albeit from Bonds) in hand.

First bond payment of £150m is due in 2024 which can be paid from the above and the second one (£250m) due in 2026.

Everything hinges on those ships sailing and Covid and you only have to look at the 87,000 fans in Wembley to see what everyone thinks of that now.
