HowardHJ, AltGr is a shortcut key for Ctrl Alt. Ctrl Alt E is the standard for the € symbol as not all keyboards support the ctrl alt $ shortcut (e.g. French keyboards)

Always a good bet if a stock gets hit >10 per cent on undue pessimism after results - caught the bounce in NEW last week. Wish I'd had the gumption to do the same here. Day traders seem to like SCR at the moment (12p divi due in July should provide some support).

Slightly ahead EU1M of their Irish broker, but very good. I put the drop down to the negative comments O'Leary made about these being oneoff etc. I think he's overplayed it a bit, but maybe that's his duty. I don't know where we could get info on the staff options. I see 11,200 shares on the results held for options/profit taking, but that's not a huge amount. Dunno. I was trying to buy at 4.04 this morning expecting a bounce back but the internet wouldn't take my order. Glad of that. It seems to have pulled EZJ (which I do hold) down with it, but that has recovered somewhat.
Anybody know how I get my euro key to work on my laptop? It is on the $ and 4 button, bottom right hand corner of it. Don't know how to activate it.

Well. The results might have been OK.

I've just tried to check in at Stanstead only to be told the flight is cancelled. Told to get the next one over 4 hours later, ( getting in after all local transport no doubt finished for the day) and told take it or leave it.

Something made me think to check out the website, and as I write this the flight is actually shown as being "on time". Are Ryanair staff and agents lying to their customers?

Also see todays news release and special seat sale actually means that starting prices are massively up on yesterday - £20 instead of £2.

This is not the way to run a sustainable business.

I can't see anything wrong with the results. I think it will go up again sooner than later.
£4.50 end of this week.

I think 2 euros would be about 13 francs, I'm a little superstitious etc...

Fall was way over done IMO. We'll have to see what happens tomorrow.

€ thanks 2francs Won't you change your name to 2euros? LOL!

I sniffed it at 376 but it had to be a day trade as I couldn't afford to hold it. Would have been over 500 in profit. You don't get many oppos like that, and have to go with your judgement. Results were excellent. ok he said they wouldn't be repeated. Didn't seem a reason to mark the stock down over 15%

Euro key should be hold down <Alt Gr> the key to the right of the space bar and press E.

Judging the right time to get into this stock is a bit risky, but I picked up some at 3.78, fingers crossed the fall is overdone.

I thought the fall looked overdone at £4.00...seems not....good buying at these levels, but that doesn't seem to have stopped it falling all morning.

I assume most employees will cash in these options by selling the shares as soon as possible.

Not seen this mentioned on here yet...there's a big wodge of share options due to mature very soon, something like £15000 on average per employee, which presumably will pressure the price. Sorry for lack of detail, it's something I noticed in passing but haven't followed up on since I have no interest in the company (short or long)

Airline staff ready to pocket windfall

Share options mean Ryanair workers will pick up average payment of £20,000

Say what you like about Ryanair, but staff at the airline will no doubt be celebrating when they receive a cash windfall averaging £20,000 next month.

Back in 1998 the company set up 10m share options for workers; the options mature at the end of next month and based on current share prices will pay out more than £20 million in total.

All staff with more than a year's service qualified for the scheme, which guaranteed a payout equivalent to 20 per cent of salary for five years – as long as certain financial targets were met. Those paid higher wages – pilots for example – stand to gain the most from the scheme, though a spokesman claimed that the average payout would represent a "nice windfall when you consider the average age of our staff – 26 or 27".

The Independent reports that the group's somewhat controversial chief executive Michael O'Leary is not part of the scheme but is unlikely to be too concerned as he has raised £100 million from selling his shares in the carrier. A Ryanair spokesman said: "When you see other airlines chopping staff, it's good to see one where they are making money."
