20/7/2022 08:10 | None of the issues in the statement can be news to anyone, the willingness for them to do something new and significant about Royal Mail surely is. Also asset wise property on their books will be way undervalued. | ![]() chris79
20/7/2022 08:09 | not so bad, seems like the market is trying weigh the news of a possible split with the facts of the update while trying to see through the heavy gloom in tone which is, obviously aimed at the CWS and their members. | unastubbs
20/7/2022 07:49 | Its becoming clear that the blip of better performance over the last 2 years was due to COVID-19 one-off benefits. It very much looks like they are back to long-term decline and out-dated working practices. Is Royal Mail fit for the future? Probably not. | ![]() topvest
20/7/2022 07:45 | bring it on i say, this is a great opportunity. looking forward to open ;) | unastubbs
20/7/2022 07:41 | After yesterday's rise / increased holding RNS I thought we were semi out of the woods. Now I think we are lost in the forest again with no map and compass!! GLAH | ![]() tuftymatt
20/7/2022 07:41 | Blood bath today. Down to £2! | ![]() deanmatlazin
20/7/2022 07:37 | I'm not a holder but I thought wow reading the RNS. Good luck here. | ![]() freddie01
20/7/2022 07:36 | not good obviously but this is very interesting: "In the event that significant operational change within Royal Mail in the UK is not achieved, the Board will consider all options to protect the value and prospects of the Group, including separation of the two companies." If this goes under 2.50 today then I'm topping up. Net assets over £4b, plus the prospect of spinning off GLS, medium term that's a no brainer. Market cap at close yday £2.73b. | unastubbs
20/7/2022 07:34 | Wow that trading statement is going to put the cat amongst the pigeons!! Talk about making it clear that they need their staff on side in order to survive basically!! | ![]() tuftymatt
20/7/2022 07:31 | Blimey that TU was a gloomy read. A message to the unions perhaps? | ![]() cwa1
20/7/2022 01:27 | CURY (LSE) dividend payment better than RMG , CURY dividend yield 7 percentage VS RMG 3 percentage... return on investment excellent | blackhorse23
19/7/2022 18:06 | This is a key turning point for the future of RMG. Pollinger is a Skargill clone. It will be a long nasty dispute running alongside many others. Changing working practices in the changing postal service is vital. Reminds us of the time the hated Murdoch took on the type setters union. But Murdoch was right, modern computer techniques did not need type setters. Sadly, they were obsolete. No doubt it will cost in the short term, but modern methods must be introduced. | ![]() careful
19/7/2022 14:28 | Sack the lot of them! If they can afford to go to Ballot's they can be that bad off! | ![]() isis
19/7/2022 14:23 | I think the ballot result is an obvious yes to strike action so I wouldn't expect the market to react down. I would be more shocked if it was a no to action then I think this would bounce up. | ![]() tuftymatt
19/7/2022 14:17 | Ballot results out at 4pm. Worth a cheeky short? | ![]() encarter
19/7/2022 14:07 | All joking aside they must see good long term value here and let's hope we can push over 300 again very soon. | ![]() tuftymatt
19/7/2022 14:05 | Yeah that's a 1% jump and how long before West Ham are sponsored by Royal Mail now 😂 | ![]() tuftymatt
19/7/2022 14:02 | Wow - VESA 22% now! | ![]() isis
19/7/2022 11:02 | Yeah nice to see after the way the year has gone so far!! I have only been here since March but buying on the dips and now hold at a 310 average. Would be so good to see it back over 300 and the divi maintained too. Good luck all holders 👍🏻 | ![]() tuftymatt
19/7/2022 10:48 | This has perked up a bit since this morning. | ![]() rogerramjett
13/7/2022 20:51 | Talking about Spanish practices, yesterday I was held up at LGW because after baggage unloaded the unloading crew left and we had to wait 12 minutes for a loading crew to arrive to load 40 bags on to a nearly full A320. Of course unions will fight to preserve such wasteful practices. | ![]() bscuit
08/7/2022 13:17 | I can smell those shorts burning | ![]() wololol
08/7/2022 13:06 | 300p incoming | ![]() wololol
05/7/2022 14:55 | I would imagine it would get resolved. People need job security so they'll probably settle for like a 5% increase. I'm confident they will find a resolution. | ![]() wololol |
