If you get a Tory victory with a decent majority these could be a prime candidate for a relief surge up 300p

It's 5 miles from Leeds and 3.5 miles from Wakefield, but for illustration purposes more people know where Leeds is than where Wakefield might be. For practical purposes one is M62 jnc 32 and the other jnc 30.

zztop, to be fair to the shop floor workers they are generally pretty good except where one encounters cultures in which work is deemed only to be done by slaves, which tends to be parts of London and the Midlands. RMG is a fascinating organisation in which to witness the work ethic of different cultures.

It probably is similar to the NHS in culture where 'systems' and 'protocols' override commonsense realities. In the incident I relate above, no commercially oriented transport business would send out an empty vehicle without checking if it really was required for a presumed return load, and if it was required, the depot would contact all other depots between the two locations to see if there was anything that could be picked up and dropped along the way. Indeed any traffic clerk who failed to do these basic things would soon find themselves out of the nice cosey traffic office with it's tea making facilities, and out on the warehouse floor moving pallets about, either that or fired.

But most of us have mortgages.
A sensible mortgage considers LTV (loan to value), and % of income.

It is no different when HMG borrows by issuing gilts.
There is a level of sensible borrowing.

Yes if a government spends more than it takes in revenue (tax)then it has to borrow. Those borrowings are paid by future generations. There is little difference from a household budget. If you go on a reckless spending spree you will leave nothing to your kids or in a worse case scenario a load of debt which they have to pay off.

Jeremy is on a 1 £Trillion tax and borrow binge to add to our public borrowing of £1.8 Trillion. Guess who will pay? Those that actually work claiming nothing (with families), the rich will just use tax avoidance schemes or register companies outside the UK. The rest will be just debt. When they're out of office I can see some serious cuts coming in to pay these massive debts off.
