Why a sad end for workers? Someone has to deliver all those letters at a loss.

from todays RNS... "Royal Mail wants to transform........"
polite!

I would rephrase that... Royal Mail NEEDS to transform

No point in propping up outdated inefficient services like letters.

Confrontation seems the only way to sort it... going to be sad end for workers/families and costly for shareholders

95% of 76% turnout.
Hopefully it will not result in action and an affordable settlement will be reached.

Maybe if Corbyn and Co lose the election the situation will be more businesslike and realistic.

Maybe Rico will jet back into the country, but then again he maybe has other plans such as spending his £6m golden hello.

From what I hear at my mail centre I go for:

95% in favoour of strike and good turnout.

I haven't met one Royal Mail worker who hasn't voted for the strike. The natives are angry.

CreditCrunchies - "1966" should give a clue to when I was in nappies!! The fact you were oblivious to why UK centric stocks like Royal Mail rose sharply last Friday speaks volumes about you as a 'trader'...

Bonus Claw back in CEO pay would concentrate minds on doing a deal. The management of RMG will realise that it's no one's benefit to behave badly and loose cooperation from the workforce. It's not 1975 !!
