For the government to re-nationalise RMG it would have to buy over 50% of the stock to take a controlling stake which at current market cap it's just under £1 Billion at current market price. The lower the price goes the cheaper for the government so they'd take control of the company with a book value of £4.6 Billion for less than £1 Billion. Once they've taken control the plan is to make existing shareholders trade their shares for bonds where they'd get around 5% yield.

Book value though is 4.6 Billion, book value per share is 462p. Valuation metrics relative to sector is 495p, earnings power value 526p, tangible book value 360p. So basically 330p was cheap. Market just doesn't like the risk of holding the stock sums it up, politics / unions.

I can't believe any sane long term experienced investor wanting to buy any FTSE 100 share now or at any time in the last few months

The writing has CLEARLY been on the wall

On nearly every FTSE 100 constituent Chart

buywell has single handedly tried to give ADVFN the heads up

The BEAR has finally woken UP after over a decade of slumber and one of the LONGEST BULL runs for the last century.

IMO it is NOT now impossible for a Bear Market for a conservative 2 years to 3 years duration

I shall check charts and comment with more accuracy soon

Odey and his chums re attacking this right now.

I remember when he and his chums announced they were about to short KAZ a few years ago.
I was holding and they drove it down to 180p before they closed.

I kept my nerve and whilst showing huge losses managed to buy near the bottom.
They ended up at £10 but unfortunately I sold too soon but still did well.

Have I the guts to pile in her?
The price looks stupidly low.

Odey and his like are the value investors best friend.

Odey did announce that he was going short this.
Amazing collapse, a one way ticket until politics is resolved.

Odey had a massive short on Glen a while back and lost a shedload.
Managed to half his clients fund value.

Loves to gamble with other peoples money.
But like a broken clock his reckless guesses are right sometimes.
