Vietnam have reported no Covid -19 deaths.
Malaysia have reported 3 deaths per day on average over the last 3 weeks.

sh1984. I have seen some chart created but third parties that have notes added that data has been adjusted to compensate for anomalies and for consistancy when reading across countries. From what I have read, the data can be up to 10 days after event, so perhaps to go on "cleaned up" data would mean we only see stale data, not progress, or not, that we are making.
Maybe that is something tha can be looked at ready for next disease etc, to have infratructure to take in data quickly and be able to segregate primary and secondary causes of death and any other factors that influence methods to address.

Idea: Database with NI number as the unique ID.
Population can fill in their own data, on data fields such as, have you caught X, on what date.
I am sure we all agree, that for both health and financial reasons gov needs to know scope and scale of problem quickly and if/when different solutions are effective.

Dave (not a Doc..don't want to imply I am somethig I am not, though have spent a carear designing massive databases for management information.)

Interesting link Doc, yes I read that one a few weeks back. It’s true that while its only the sick people who get tested we won’t know the true impact of the virus.

I would like to see the government show a chart of how of the people who died from Covid also had underlying medical conditions. But they never show this info.

They selectively show number of cases vs number of deaths. If you just look solely at those metrics then you are better off surviving the virus living in Burundi! However probably more likely to get shot there..

Coronavirus: How to understand the death toll

Usually it's none! Yes plenty die from annual flu. But this virus? None. Which is exactly the point. How do you think China stopped it so quickly (if you believe the numbers) Because the people do as they are told over there. They dare not do anything else! But here in the UK there are too many f-wit armchair experts who think they know better than the scientists, virologists and real medical experts which means our national covid problem will endure longer than it should. Do you think think the pop up hospitals built all over the world have been built for fun? They've been built knowing restrictions on movement are in place. Just think how bad it would be if everyone was allowed to just do their own thing!

I’m sure you’ll find the article interesting and it may inspire some thought.
When it comes to investing we scrutinise figures like crazy but when it comes to government numbers on the pandemic we accept them on blind faith.

Understand where you’re coming from, if you look at how many people have died from Covid 19 on average every week for past 3 weeks in UK. The weekly average number of deaths is lower than it has been for past 6 years.
Covid response to to the pandemic is also extreme.

SH1984 Did not know we past the infection peak

Boris Johnson ask the Uk on the 16 march to not travel and to stop any non-essential

contact (24 days ago )Uk 24 Wuhan 76 = 52 days left ,7 weeks to go

And on March 23 government lock down stated (16 days ago )UK 18 days,Wuhan 76 days = 58 days left 8 weeks to go

And have not quiet worked this out yet, but is not coron 19 seasonal, meaning it comes back next winter and will die down in summer months
Is wuhan warm climate helping slow/stop there coron19 and will that help us and Europe as we move into our summer months ?

Only a matter of time before it does... Maybe sooner if a vaccination is developed. As Wuhan was outbreak occurred they do have a head start, but shows life will go back to normal eventually.
