Did you see the results released today, almost £1BN in free cash flow achieved with a Market Cap of £5.5Bn based on today's share price. So much value here, flights are starting to resume.
On the way up from here!

Rolls-Royce was sharply lower after the aerospace and defence giant signalled there are job cuts ahead as it said the commercial aerospace market could take several years to recover from the impact of Covid-19.

British Airways and Iberia owner IAG flew lower after saying it swung to a first-quarter operating loss of €535m. It also warned of a "significantly worse" second quarter due to the pandemic that has grounded most of its fleets.

Please do your own research as always.

Just on Sky News. BA Bosses say flights could resume at 50% levels by July plus Heathrow want masks and temperatures checks which BA also back that policy. Heard also earlier on news that Ryanair think 2019 levels will return by 2022 a year more optimistic than BA IAG.

"IAG does not expect the level of passenger demand in 2019 to recover before 2023, making further Group-wide restructuring measures essential; as a result IAG expects to defer deliveries of 68 aircraft"

"Passenger capacity has been reduced by 94 per cent from late March with most aircraft grounded and those retained for operating limited passenger, repatriation and cargo-only flights being appropriately-sized and new-generation, where practical."

If older planes do not fly again then this should hurt P&W more than RR as RR has more newer engines.
Will lower fuel prices make fuel efficiency less important or will it be more important due to lower load factors?

"average airline load factor hit 81.7% worldwide. In the US load factor has increased on domestic flights from 67.88% in 2002 to 86.08% in 2018, while the number of domestic flights has stayed almost constant, from 8,085,083 in 2002 to 8,176,610 in 2017"

Why did WB buy into cyclical US airlines in the first place? WB said that because the US airlines had taken on so much new debt it had change the fundamentals of his investment and that was why he had sold.

If WB has given up on the Airline Industry

Then why do you think you know better ?

Similar to 1974.
Arabs tripled the price of oil, in those days they could, and killed off the aircraft industry.
Hundreds of aircraft parked in humidity free desert locations.
Never to fly again.

All of the recent projections about compound growth in air travel.

At least lovely climate change Greta will be pleased.
Worth the sacrifice to put a smile on her face.

Planes don't do well in mothball, some of these will never fly again.

However, all those planes need some maintenance to keep them airworthy, even if not in use, so Rolls will still get some income.

Why you think Warren B even went to the press about what he's been doing? I'll tell you, he wants to influence the effect to its maximum so he can buy back in lower, no other reason to stick his head up. It's like me going to the press and telling the world what I had for breakfast! 10 years is vastly exaggerated by any stretch of the imagination he is looking to manipulate.

Warren B sold all his Airline stock , sees no recovery there for 10 years , yes 10 years ,all those planes mothballed and np replacement units bought , so sad for this industry, our best!

Its impossible to call the bottom on this. Absolutely impossible. Shorters, spreaders, etc, aside, anyone taking the plunge for an investment would probably get more certainty elsewhere, maybe gold miners. Then pop back here in a few months/years time. GLA!

Looks a bit like Charter a few years back , hedge funds forced it down from £4 to 30p and then rose like a jet , and eventually bought out for £12 a share , happy days , the low point could be anything !
