Gw, re: quantcast and adkarma. Adkarma are booking a lot more traffic. How do you work out it's traffic they already had rather than new traffic?

If you look at the stats and the charts for the AdKarma segment rather than for R1 as a whole, I still think it looks more likely to be principally measuring more stuff rather than actually having more stuff, football.

Sorry about all the madness just after the New Year but it all seems to have settled down now and just goes to show oil and water never mixes.

A lot was made last week about the Transparency Score in the pixalate "mobile in app"table only being 55 which was seen as a you negative by some here but I think it may be down to 1R's filtering system which makes it harder for other networks to find us or can't get past the security therefore not recognising as, what wasn't picked up was if you click on the Reach Score tab we was first and if you clicked on the GIVT score second



So basically we have the reach and we can also sort out what is illegitimate views and we have the filtering system which cuts out in illegitimate views is making it harder for us to be seen which may be distorting the Transparency Score figure

That's my take ready to be shot down as usual.

I would hope some of the increase is down to some of the bigger Perk holders protecting their position. With luck it will unwind into Feb?

Jarvis ... good point ... the problem with acquisitive companies is that the results can become obscured, you might see increased revenues but your underlying return may be regressing. The other point is that business combinations incur costs ... and these can be used to obscure profit results, something to watch out for in the "adjustment" area of adjusted EBITDA, the main measure used by R1. A creative accountant could through a lot of cost into the "adjustment" and show much improved profitability, as defined by R1.
