Alex, the platform is built and they are heavy on the supply side. No need to merge with another programmatic platform right now. They need the likes of perk to place ads on and improve the fill rate. Can understand your concerns about longevity of the product though.

My concern about Perk is that it could simply fade away, people have very short attention spans and they jump to the next novelty ... my fear is that it's the adult equivalent of a Cabbage Patch Doll ... the must-have toy but by next Christmas every kid has moved on to something else.If they had merged with a programmatic competitor I'd have been less concerned.

alex- if they can use the purchase to increase the throughput and also improve the fill rate then that would seem sensible. There's also the question of what 1R can add to Perk.

I'm not convinced about Perk, and wonder why they felt the need to add a "fad" company and give away 20% of the company in the process. Was it just to drive increased volumes going through the programmatic platform? People tend to focus on the increased revenues and forget about the increase in equity required to achieve it. This was the pattern of Blinkx ... use shareholder money to buy increased revenues ... is history repeating itself?

Yep we definitely miss the business heads who used to post on this stock, Becky was another such poster on LSE, who actually used ad tech if I recall. Never seemed very happy with it and simply got disillusioned after Edelman I think.

Here is a thought. I wonder if they bought Perk simply to get their daily Quantcast viewer numbers up, given that they were clearly only a fraction of the reported monthly reach?

Lots of these Perk viewers must be running their smartphones 24/7, and disconnecting India was a sop to the market.

Just been reading a few days worth of STT's increasingly hysterical postings.

And how did it finish? A comment out of nowhere by Eeltamer which prompted STT to respond by dragging up a post by Eeltamer from March 2013!!!! Almost four years ago.

Just the sort of thing your average PI would do.

STT has more slant to him than the north face of the Matterhorn in my view.
