For the record:-

Preference Share Dividend (RAVP)

The Directors of the Company confirm that the quarterly payment of the preference dividend in respect of the preference shares of 1p each with ticker RAVP (the "Preference Shares") will be made, in accordance with their terms, on 31 December 2019 in respect of the period from 30 September 2019 to (but excluding) 31 December 2019. The record date for the payment of the preference dividend for the Preference Shares is 15 November 2019 with an ex-dividend date of 14 November 2019.

The Preference Shares will be entitled to a gross dividend of 3 pence per Preference Share.

Fed lowering rates yet again, looks like the low interest rate environment is going to continue for the foreseeable future.

RAVP have continued to pay year in year out and through sanctions.

Currently close to 9% PA, pays out quarterly, bit of a gift, I rest my case.

Another rate cut in russia , this time 50bps much more than expected and now with rates down to 6.5 pct those 12% yields are going to be looking crazy, we should see a big valuation rise at year end pushing nav a lot higher, these big buybacks are going to look very smart

Just reading the RAV interim report and it states that all of Woodford Investment Mgmt holdings in both convertible and irredeemable pref shares was sold to over 35 institutional holders

It does seem that way doesn't it. Wish I had some spare cash as this is a very attractive entry price imho - what a yield and all tax free, doesn't get better than this.....
