High yield ETF funds are forced sellers has investors panic. This could be the bargain of the last 5 years.

That is 3 years worth of dividends wiped out in less then a month. This has to be a bargain now.

Our balance sheet too continues to adapt to match our income profile. Secured debt today is 37% Rouble denominated and 52% Euro with two US Dollar denominated facilities remaining. We expect to refinance the last of those US Dollar facilities before the year end and there to be a continuing increase in Rouble weighting as we convert Euro debt. Should the Russian Central Bank continue to ease interest rates then that will accelerate the transition to Roubles.

I think the deal needs renegotiating with invesco. Much harsher terms. They also need to immediately stop distributions to ords. They were paying out far too much rather than reducing debt burden. Asset sales at a decent level wouldn't go amiss either.

I don't know the placing level, I was just repeating what I had read on the board, so you are probably correct.

But the bid is now beneath, and offer a fraction below.

All Raven quotes are down Ords , Cv Pf ( offered at 97.5p ) and I paid 113.8p for 2000 RAVP 20 mins ago . However much bigger falls in BEE and JPM Russia . Can anyone remember the placing price of the large Blocks from Barnett and Woodford ? It feels as though we are approaching those levels .

Russia reckon they can stand 6-10 years of oil price depression. Won't be great for their economy though.

Nothing whatsoever to do with RAV. but to answer your queation.

Many years ago I had shares in Dana Petroleum. In their early years they had more than half their assets in Russia. They were swindled out of the entire thing and nearly went bust. I was left with an abiding distrust of Russian business practice and the effectiveness of the rule of law.

Which is the main reason I've always been chary of RAV. I have been in and out a few times but my holding has never been more than 1 or 2 percent.

I'm waiting to top up. Will buy when it next goes up. It has lost 16p recently, it might just go lower. This is 11% divi but so is Rdsb.

It's a shame these haven't proved very stable in rocky markets. The Russian economy looks like it might take a hit from the collapsing Oil price.

Apologies for asking this question in a period of share price weakness, but it needs to be addressed - If the Russian economy turns sour is there any likely hood of confiscation of assets or the company being taken private?

My intention is not to scare anybody with this question, i would just be interested to know other long-time shareholder's thoughts.
