They might have pulled out, but they still have a contract for the rent. It was their choice and not Raven. Maybe Raven can confiscate any stock if rent is not paid. Who says that most of their warehouses are rented out to companies that have pulled out. I'm sure they can also be rented out to Turkish and Chinese companies.

Then all it would mean is that the cash would build up in the SPVs until eventually sanctions are lifted (whenever that might be)...

Since the Rouble/Euro exchange rate is now back to where it was before the invasion can someone explain to me what the problem is here? Or have Russians stopped shopping and warehouses are no longer required?

Perhaps the next update will clarify where the £50 million cash is sitting,is it held centrally or been loaned to the Russian subsidiary as part of the new pref deal.

I don't think buying shares in the market counts as outward investment into Russia - they mean something like injecting money into the business. That's my interpretation anyway. POLY and POG are still trading.

I am of the view that our RAVP are currently worthless. I am not expecting anything to be paid. Receipt of any funds would be an unexpected bonus.

Any idea what impact (if any) this will / would have on Raven investors:- 'end to all new UK outward investment into Russia announced'.


Assuming the stock becomes tradable, does this imply one cannot sell ones RAV / RAVP holding to a UK investor?

I still think RAV holders will get something back to push through the put option ... otherwise they might as well vote against the proposal and take the risk someone puts Putin in a box ... not very likely of course ....

Preference shareholders could then be wiped out despite being higher in the pecking order than shareholders .... and a gutwrench.

We will see .... nothing to be done now save make up for losses here elsewhere.
