05/3/2013 09:26 | That doesn't sound very good! "Positive territory" makes it sound as though they have just crossed the halfway line. If they had done any better I would expect a comment like "in line with previous guidance" or "market expectations." | snowydays
05/3/2013 07:59 | From neds post above. With thanks to manic miner on iii. Fellow II's, I spoke with Rambler management today at the PDAC in Toronto. They were not able to disclose much as their 2Q results are due out before the end of March. They did however say that they will be in "positive territory" and that they are pleased with this considering it's the first quarter since declaring commercial production. They've had some issues around their course ore bin freezing due to the cold and fine material but have implemented some short term measures to address the issue i.e. heaters, vibrators on bin....... I did ask about a recent ship docking in Goodyear's Cove for concentrate which was met with a rye smile and that information would be forthcoming. Assume it will be disclosed in 2Q results as a subsequent event (if it transpired) I asked about the selling and the drop in share price. The Company is not concerned, as they don't need to raise any money, and is sticking with their story that once the markets see's several quarters of profitability the todd will start to turn. One of the problems they believe that is happening is that several institutional resource funds are so far "under water" that they are forced to sell their "good" stocks to cover losses on their "dogs." On a positive note they believe the liquidity on the London market has been good and that this is setting a base for a new floor. Hope this helps. DYOR Manic Miner | killing_time
04/3/2013 15:25 | Thanks for posting that Ned. That might be some good news at last. We know they can't call for the ship unless they have 5k tonnes or more and the ship takes a few weeks to arrive so there should be at least 7k tonnes of concentrate worth about $2k per tonne. That would be about $14m in revenue over 3 months, and if they have got the hydromet reprocessing working then perhaps anothe $2m. They have stated their "primary" at about $2.5k each month so perhaps $6m to $8m in free cash flow over the last 3 months? Maybe quite a bit more if they have waited until they have the same quantity of concentrate as last time. As a shareholder I will feel much more comfortable if this is confirmed. | snowydays
04/3/2013 11:13 | Off topic, but I think shareholders will enjoy this. A history of mining on the Baie Verte Peninsular. A virtual museum with many past pictures and details of the Rambler Mine, Tilt Cove and Nugget Pond. The picture below shows George Ogilvie in his previous life. | snowydays
04/3/2013 10:59 | iii - Possibly shipment out last week. Size will matter of course! | ned
04/3/2013 09:27 | >Nice talking George. Now lets see you deliver the goods. Agreed. Talking does not put food on my table :-) If this is still stuck circa or below 30p in 6 months time maybe the company will have some questions to answer (and board re-organisation) as the expectation was set for better things. | lwaxf13
04/3/2013 07:29 | Henderson increase stake to 14.11% | fangorn2
03/3/2013 22:17 | This is a very interesting interview with George Ogilvie. It is an old interview from last November but I don't think it has been posted here before. I don't remember hearing it previously. Mr Ogilvie makes some interesting predictions. Rambler will pay off the $7.5m Sprott debt by March 2013. Rambler in a couple of years will have $40m to $50m in cash. Rambler shareprice should reach 150c over the next six months (from November 2012). Rambler is currently trading on about 2 times cashflow. Rambler intends to grow "exponentially" over the next five years. Nice talking George. Now lets see you deliver the goods. | snowydays
03/3/2013 10:06 | Very true jgrabber. I would like to add though that I have often waited for the bottom before buying only to see that if fact the shares just keep falling. I think some of us are reluctant to sell when we are so close to results which could be transformative. | snowydays
01/3/2013 18:35 | I have too often watched drifts down like this hoping for a reversal of the trend. Best to sell, wait till hitting a bottom and buy in cheaper. It's easy to lose 50% and much harder to gain the 100% it takes to get back to baseline. | jgraggaber
01/3/2013 10:44 | "I guess it depends on your time horizon." But with Rambler we need results now! Remember they are mining the high grade 1807 zone, our best quality known resource which might only have 18 months or so before it is exhausted. It is very important that Rambler exploit the 1807 zone to the full and do not waste it. I think they need to make hay while the sun shines. | snowydays
28/2/2013 20:57 | I guess it depends on your time horizon. I have been in here for 2 years and gone nowhere despite start of production etc. I hold and don't trade the spikes. After that time, the weakness before an RNS expected to be transformative, remarkably little activity on various boards incl from Magic Miner2 on iii who lives nearby, I have some doubts about near term prospects. The longer term outlook may be positive but current signals don't seem to point towards any re-rating soon. They have the resource in a stable jurisdiction, we shall see their cost structure. | jgraggaber
28/2/2013 19:36 | Don't think so because it's a material change to the company's condition which they need to let the market know about. I'm fairly new to this one, I'm going to have modest expectations at this stage. | broncowarrior
28/2/2013 18:49 | Would they? I'm not sure of the rules around that.. is it not at managements discretion? | king suarez
28/2/2013 15:17 | If the results are way below where they said they would be previously they would need to issue a profit warning. I haven't seen one of those.... | broncowarrior
28/2/2013 13:58 | >Why are Henderson increasing their stake? Do they have more knowledge of behind the scenes at RMM or are they just blindly guessing too? Only Hendersons can answer that. Trying to second guess them is pointless. No matter what lies behind the Henderson thing lets be clear on one thing - fund managers lose money too and their decisions are not always right. | lwaxf13
28/2/2013 12:34 | Agreed with number 2. RMM talk a good story. It's time to put up and show me the money!!! Fortunately I got in at 18p and hung on expecting the re-rating hype to materialise into something. However, I fear more of the same here. Lots of talk (actually not much recently as its all gone quiet at RMM) and no real action. | lwaxf13
28/2/2013 10:51 | Number 2. So far Rambler have not delivered. They have always done enough to keep shareholders interested, but they have not yet produced anything which would justify the hoped for rerating. | snowydays
28/2/2013 10:25 | Why is everyone expecting bad results - is it because the shareprice is going down and you think therefore lots of insiders know what the results are and have sold? Or is it because RMM have not met your expectations thus far, or is it a case of trying not to get hopes up? Or something else? Why are Henderson increasing their stake? Do they have more knowledge of behind the scenes at RMM or are they just blindly guessing too? I guess the next RNS will answer my own questions here. | king suarez
27/2/2013 14:26 | The expectations are high. In recent correspondence I was assured about the longer term positive outlook. That did not inspire confidence. | jgraggaber
27/2/2013 12:28 | But so far Redhill the "pessimists" have been right. I will make a prediction here. No matter how appalling the results are, there will be Pollyanna and a few others posting on this board to say that the results were even better than they expected and show that Rambler will one day actually make some money. | snowydays
27/2/2013 09:15 | I'm not. :-) | killing_time
27/2/2013 09:01 | What a pessimistic lot you are! | redhill
25/2/2013 17:07 | RMM will probably not be as profitable as forecast in the near future, that's what the sells and some other signals suggest. And, as we all know on here some people will have the salient news before others. I might be proven wrong. | jgraggaber |
