Their claims that the issue with CGMiner is resolved is clearly not true if they were indeed contacting Con after the Mar 2024 PRN.

'The fact that four large bitcoin miners and two large mining machine manufacturers have NDA's with QBT and have remained engaged, must count for something. As would the fact that three separate teams led by three different professors have apparently each produced improved mining or energy saving results using QBT's IP.'

We have no proof the miners/manufacturers are engaged aside from QBT approaching them with the claims and the miners/manufacturers asking QBT to prove it. We are still in the 'prove it' stage as the CEO said only when they were able to prove their claims would discussions advance. Very little for the miners/manufacturers to lose in this scenario.

As for ckpooldev's Tweets. We don't know the details of what info he was given when approached so hard to determine exactly what he knew about the Methods. He seemingly was put off by the QBT website and lack of technical documentation available and as an open source advocate this was presumably anathema to him hence his response. He was able to come to the conclusion QBTs claims were bogus due to lack of any proof whatsoever. Maybe he is wrong but as an core dev for CGMiner his judgement does count for a lot I think.

Would be interesting to know if Kano has been contacted by QBT. Have you tried contacting them via bitcointalk as they are a member there?

Nah. That would only happen by accident. Whoops.

That is interesting but not in itself conclusive regarding the efficacy of QBT's three Methods, as they may apply to GPU's, ASIC's or quantum computers.

Could it just indicate a gap in CK's knowledge about QBT, or some personal prejudices against commercial companies?

One might think, for example, that someone approached privately by a company for programming advice (if that is what happened) would do better due diligence before firing off a dismissive public tweet, and have the professionalism to keep their opinion private. The fact (QBT, 13/3/2024) that two large bitcoin miners and two large mining machine manufacturers have NDA's with QBT and have remained engaged, must count for something. As does the fact that three separate teams led by three different professors have apparently each produced improved mining or energy saving results using QBT's IP:

That is very interesting, especially as they contacted him after announcing that they had resolved their CGMiner issues in the PRN on 13/03/2024.

The publication date is given as being,

13 Mar 2024 07.00 AM R&D and Business Update

Which is the date the RNS was published.

but the Document file name says QBT_-_RD_Update_March_24-_final.pdf whilst Document Properties on the download gives a Creation/Modified date of Tue 12 Mar 2024 23:03:47 +01:00

Con's reply was on the 16th. In my initial e-mail to them I did link to and copy from that document and yet at that time he did not know of the company. Of itself that shouldn't be too strange. Idiots like us follow the company. ROTW probably know little to nothing about them.

So they say they have fixed their problems on the 13th. Con does not know about them on the 16th. Con suggests he has been contacted by a company that smells exactly like them on the 30th.

Yo! Ladz. That software we were having problems with. Well we've fixed it. Ooooo-errr, hang on. Let's ask the original writer of the software if he can help us out. Wait! What!, He told us to get lost. Better not mention that one.

It all smells a bit smelly.

The miners seem to be getting on OK without QBT's methods, L Cpl. I don't think QBT needs QBT's methods either. It and its CEO are getting on just fine with shareholder money alone to enable them to continue to dabble in their computing R&D hobby. Have you totted up how much the philanthropic shareholders have provided so far?

LargeChablis, noted that Broomrigg had no posts on ADVFN between 08 Jul 2016 - 05 Oct 2020.
Must've been holidaying on some island.

And yet, interesting Broomrigg posted this;

Weird that Chablis has no posts in his history from 15/12/21 to 30/6/23. Must have been using his other IDs through that period.
