An old example.

"DBAY's investment in TDG has been very successful in spite of challenging global market conditions.  Besides the net cash proceeds of £185m after repayment of DBAY group debt, DBAY also retains some former TDG real estate assets which have been transferred to DBAY Property Group and have a book value in excess of 2 pence per share as of 30 June 2010. Overall the investment in TDG has created substantial value for our shareholders.

This investment is a great template for DBAY's 'active value' investment approach of identifying companies with a strong potential, actively working with management teams to achieve superior financial and operational performance and thus be the catalyst for change."

Is there any way to check their past performance pink? I have seen lots of excellent mission statements in this game backed up by awful practice.I do hope for us longs that they are right though.

Re-posting this as I really agree and like this approach. Says a lot given DBAY record.

"DBAY STRATEGY

We are value investors and rely upon detailed bottom-up fundamental research to identify attractive investment opportunities in European small caps. DBAY invests in companies overlooked or deeply misunderstood by the market and in many instances out of favour with investors, often taking a contrarian view. We are long-term investors in businesses.

DBAY APPROACH

Prior to investing, DBAY commits considerable time and resources to analyse prospective investments. All investment decisions rely on a rigorous and well established review process before any allocation is made."

Also have to wonder if DBAYs hand was forced before news hits.
Leave it too long and chance of decent entry price reduces.

Yes. Afew things coming together ready for proper restart of business and growth, good chance of news in near future on bepayd or partly in the fintech response to current SME cashflow squeeze.

DBAY have a good strategy and track record. Lombard not stupid too.
Both have leverage to get this to perform via pressure on management.
Lombard & DBAY incentives line-up with anyone buying at these levels.

Resistance until through it.

It stands out post big fall and price butting up against it now.
Once through there are trend levels to get through - one after another, but currently 34p first, imho.

Others will think differently and interperate their own way.

Pink, that resistance level, why is that a resistance? It's been higher than that hasn't it?

Big money waiting for small money to get bored and sell.
Look at the volume today. Stuck.

If you're not happy kindly sell, become happy, move on, so others can see it move upwards and make money.

We could be here for ages. Hard ceiling.

So Lombard are in at 27-28p.
Dbay in at either about 34p-36p or similar to Lombard.

Both have teams doing research, neither have bought for a small upside imho.

My take, dyor, buy and go along for the ride. Take care.

Dbay bought on their own account and for the Maltese bank with Austrain parent now. Overall price, if no transfers sub 3%, comes out 34p-36p. Knowing what they did sub 3% is impossible. They might have sold and bought back for today's total with even lower average - no way to be sure.

Prices approx.

2019
29/7 1,777,0000 start about 48p
31/7 inc 236,963 about 54p
7/8 inc 395,500 about 50p
9/8 inc 235,000 about 49p
14/8 inc 90,000 about 54p
29/8 SALE -97,500 about 48p - 2.77% total, might have cleared out after FSP cancellation.

2020
4/5 inc 3,300,000 about 25p - BANK, 5,936,963 shares > 6% or bought back all 5.9M at < 30p.

From my own limited research it appears DBAY are ruthless, don’t anticipate them messing about here for too long. At the moment though Lombard/Potts are in control. They’ll do well to fight off bids around the £1 mark though, it’s surely worth more.

Onwards and upwards! This will see a bid at 110 within weeks, can hardly pick up anything above 4,000 shares this morning at 32p, so hope to see 40p breakthrough today. GLAand congrats to holders with patience we will above 100p soon.

Disagree China.
Look at DBAY history and strategy.
This is a stepping stone.
