You're just making yourself look silly now inside2.
A convertible loan note is a loan that is convertible into shares. In order to get a loan note you need to lend money to the company, hence the 'loan' in loan note!
The money was lent to the company months ago you muppet and only just converted into shares.

Still not commenting on the share placement at 0.03p!

You've been saying that for years.

Ridge didn't buy £50k worth of shares he converted existing loan notes you muppet.

You also failed to mention the recent placing at a huge discount to the share price at a lowly 0.03p!

That 5million sell, at the close makes it 10 million buys to 7 million sells, all the sells were at .05p the rest were buys, albycat. It's getting interesting since Darren Ridge bought £50,000 worth and payed a premium for them, now he didn't do that for fun. I feel sure something positive is brewing.

If HMRC continue to apply the Extended Verification process with the same vigor they will end up swamping the system with unsettled claims from comanies in the systen and unable to trade this could impact on the UK economic recovery. I'm surprised the opposition or Vince Cable has not picked up on this, but then there may be cross party support and an agreement not to rock the boat.

HMRC developed a system called 'extended verification' which is applied to certain repayment claims and works to deny payment of any VAT repayment claim if it exceeds a certain amount, if it was in a certain sector – such as mobile phones or computer chips – or the trader had a connection with an MTIC fraud or individual involved in carousel fraud.

"Several traders have challenged HMRC and the extended verification procedure in the courts, the most recent involving Livewire Telecoms Limited. Livewire won its appeal against HMRC and the decision of the VAT Tribunal that it should pay all the £2.2 million of VAT withheld under extended verification. The court ruled that a legitimate trade in a 'clean chain' could not have known of a future fraudulent transaction in a connected 'dirty chain'.

"In May, the trader in the Blue Sphere Global Limited case was also successful in obtaining an order that HMRC repay nearly £1.5 million in VAT withheld by HMRC."

Here is part of an article in today's Times which goes some way in explaining why HMRC is defending it's position so vigorously in the face of so many judgements going against them.

'It also emerged that HM Revenue and Customs has set aside nearly £5 billion to deal with potential claims after a legal victory over VAT by a relative of Ian Fleming, the author. About 13,000 businesses that claim they have overpaid tax have sent in claims in the wake of last year's legal action by Michael Fleming, an Aston Martin dealer'.

Here is the article
