A trading update would only be required under MAR if the company is certain to beat the current full year EBITDA number of their house broker, Liberum, which is $478m. It was $326m up until the 28 April trading statement, so it rose a very significant $152m.

I would hope for a trading update in June ‘ahead of expectations’ would be nice, then pre close trading update in July prior to Interims in August.

would i be wrong to expect a trading update for april sometime this week ? I know normally you would be lucky to get two trading updates in a year rather than every month but with the VIX at record levels in April I assume trading volumes have been at a level that a monthly trading update would be warranted ? Particularly if the price hasnt yet caught up with events so that the buy back looks better.
