Although I see 5.89% like you, this is a small reduction over the past week.

Strangely, the net short positions have increased! Not sure if anyone else is keeping track, but on Friday they totalled 5.28% and today they are 5.89%. I might have hit the wrong button on Friday but, if not I cannot see why the shorts have gone up given the price action, buybacks and Director buys.

You’ve misunderstood. I hold PLUS and agree with your plus points. I also hold IG and was just pointing out how their share price too might bounce on their next update, if not before, based on the comment in and reaction to Plus results.

Also IG have far more Professional clients who are exempt from the ESMA rules. Hence quality wise IG is better than PLUS, but agree that that also explains the differences in the figures for the 2 Companies in your post.

Ive been a client of IG for years..operating margin is much less at 39%..PE is much worse at 11.6 vs 5.73...IG have more cash yet the dividend cover is only 0.99 vs PLUS @ 1.6..ROCE is 20.6 PLUS is over four times better at 84.6..I can go on!

Directors also sold heavily much higher! Agree though that their current buying is a positive. I hold Plus but IG is better quality and positive share price reaction to Plus results, suggests read through to IG too.

Are you talking operating margin? It was 70% now circa 55%..another reason why this is a cash cow!

Oh and another £3.3m director BUY!!! They have the genuine inside knowledge and throw masses of their own cash at it!

Shorts reduced to 5.28% from 6.15. Lots of buying still to come!
Looking forward to a short squeeze here and the price continuing to increase.

Yeah, I am surprised the shorts haven't closed yet given the positive update and volatility that seems set to continue. I thought at least some of the move up was due to short covering which isn't the case. Which is great news as the short covering is yet to come!

Agree. Shorts have only reduced from 6.31% to 6.15% today! Must be getting expensive.

The cfo and ceo have never brought shares. To me this indicates a very bullish signal. Even better there is a 6.2% short position, they will be closing soon, the pain to come. What kind of person shorts plus with elevated vix.

Nice director buys across the board! I think this is the first time the CEO and CFO have owned a piece of Plus. Alan Gonen bought a nice chunk, close to £7 mil. Let the share buybacks begin!
