15/7/2019 18:04 | It's 10% of total divi so 40% of your £187. The other 15% can be declared on your tax return to offset any tax due on the divi. Double taxation relief. SJ | sailing john
15/7/2019 16:44 | My tax deduction is £187. Are you saying that 10% of that can be reclaimed ie £18? CD | cambridgedon
15/7/2019 16:19 | Tax is definitely reclaimable but you have to do it yourself. You have to contact ESOP and there are quite a few bits and bobs you need to do. They will refund the 10 percent of the 25 percent into your personal bank account too. | asusasus
15/7/2019 15:57 | Yes, got mine today from A J Bell. Tax not reclaimable they have said. CD | cambridgedon
15/7/2019 12:13 | hi russ. i'm with Selftrade. my account got credited with dividend today. i work it out at 36.24p after a 25% tax. about 61.9c | technowiz
15/7/2019 07:37 | Selftrade have also said similar that the dividend was a cheque and waiting to clear...they said today it should clear | russ1983
12/7/2019 21:32 | ESMA yesterday - Reminders "Professional clients on request" "firms should strictly refrain from implementing any form of practice that incentivises, induces or pressures an investor to request to be treated as a professional client....... "ESMA considers that providing a comparison between leverage limits available to different types of clients would qualify as an incentivisation." Retail/Pro Comparison on homepage with this link And "Marketing, distribution or sale by third-country CFD-Providers" "Promotional or incentivising language about the possibility to open an account with a third country entity shall be seen as a marketing towards the client located in the EU, for example marketing the possibility to open an account where CFDs with higher leverage limits can be traded. By analogy, even if the language of a communication is purely informative, the information itself may have a promotional character given the broader context. CFD providers are not allowed to market CFDs to retail clients in the Union that do not comply with the requirements from ESMA’s or national product intervention measures." Think they might have to address this issue? - This is a link from homepage entitled "Global Offices and Account Features" I have no view on whether this is good or bad for PLUS - at first sight negative but if ESMA actually enforcing their intervention measures it might affect competition, particularly the smaller players, more than PLUS. Will be interesting to see if they change their website in the next few weeks dyor SJ | sailing john
12/7/2019 18:48 | Alliance the same and a lot longer than 10 days. They are complete Muppets tho. | the monkster

12/7/2019 09:21 | Change broker. It was in my II account by 10am on payment date. I was in the middle of closing down my II account due to incessant charges and the transfer to Halifax was in process. I had a call from II and they told me if I would stay with them there would be no charges at all for 12 months, I would be free to leave at any time and they credited my account with 100 quid to boot! | asusasus
12/7/2019 07:50 | A J Bell say they have received a cheque for the divi in US$. They are waiting for this to clear and convert to GBP and this will take up to 10 days! Anyone else had this experience? CD | cambridgedon
10/7/2019 10:08 | Very unclear process. And I am used to this sort of stuff !! This is bonkers | nocents
10/7/2019 10:07 | Asaisus H/L say I can’t claim back in my SIPP. HMRC rules (??) They provide a certificate only after div payment. Doesn’t leave much time. Plus document says ok until end of month in which dividend received. Do I send the income tax part of form to HMRC?? All very confusing. Worth £760 to me!! | nocents
09/7/2019 21:28 | nocents I am also in the midst of trying to claim the IWT back. It's worth 600 quid to me. ESOP said they need the forms back by 18th July which leaves me little time. I've only just sent the IWT form to self assessment tax department to sign and stamp. I'm sure there can't be a deadline imposed. I've emailed ESOP for clarification. I think I've got everything else sorted. My broker advised to get the cash transferred into my personal bank account, ESOP have also agreed that I'd OK. GL | asusasus
09/7/2019 19:59 | Apologies for repetition. I am a business accountant and was confounded by that comment. | nocents
09/7/2019 19:58 | “A stock price trading at zero represents a bankrupt company”. Wikipedia “ Most stocks eventually go to zero” ( zccax 5th July ) A miniscule amount of stocks go to zero. Fact. Most shares going to zero would mean most companies go bankrupt. Clearly not the case. | nocents
09/7/2019 19:26 | Above message was for zccax who said “ Most shares eventually go to zero” 11:34 5th July. Just read board as looking to reclaim Israeli tax. But then read crazy comment. If most shares eventually went to zero then there would be no shares!! | nocents
09/7/2019 19:20 | Wtf? Most shares will eventually go to zero(?!?) Look back at the stock market . Only companies that go bust or go private go to zero. What on earth do you mean? That implies most companis share prices will disappear (?!) Doesn’t happem or we wouldn’t have a stock market!!! I still hold BT shares bought in 1982! | nocents
09/7/2019 17:22 | Yes I did. 4.5k warmly received. | asusasus
09/7/2019 09:12 | divi pay day. Anyone received cash yet? | nickwild

06/7/2019 16:02 | Well I exited yesterday morning ,after a two month investment (very short timescale for me) & a welcome profit if around 100p. I previously held from 130p until I exited a few months ago with an excellent profit ,to say nothing of the spectacular dividends. I a man likely to be back again | base7
05/7/2019 23:10 | asusasus in the case of long term holders like you and i the share price isn't as relevant as the dividend payment of over 10% and climbing to 12.5% next year. The share price will follow in time. | 18steven
05/7/2019 15:59 | Bought back the holding I sold this morning for at 617p/share, looking forward to seeing what it does next. | gbh2 |
