From the prospectus just published at 15:45:

As stated above, Plus500 believes that the ESMA measures will have an effect in the short term, however this can be mitigated by providing those of its customers in the EEA that wish to trade on higher margin, the option of applying for an EPC account, such application being subject to approval by the Company and the customer meeting the relevant regulatory requirements (including the guidance on client categorisation issued by ESMA in its Investor Protection Q&As). This mitigating factor has also been identified by several of the Group’s competitors. Plus500UK and Plus500CY began evaluating their customer bases regarding EPC status in February 2018 and consider that across the Group 12 per cent. of its customers in the EEA may be eligible for EPC status. Given that this 12 per cent. generate in
aggregate approximately 75 per cent. of the revenue at EEA level, the Board believes that the Group is in a strong position to maintain revenue from those customers given its EPC offering.

Given that there is currently no incentive for retail customers to apply for EPC status and the Group has not approached all of its customer base, only a limited number of its customers have already done so to date. Of approximately 38,000 customers marked by the Group as potential EPCs, 8,116 applied for EPC
status of which 4,282 were approved.

This a higher number of Professional Customers, at this stage, than the most recent updates published by IG Group and CMC.

The above answers how much shares rise due to inclusion into FTSE 250. On average it's around 20%

Sorry for the off-topic post but struggling to find relevant forum elsewhere - would like to ask what chart providers others use - I have tried ADVFN/Stockopedia/TradingView but find them all poor for tracking volume and price action. Would be happy to pay a reasonable subscription - any thoughts? Thanks and sorry again for hijacking thread.

What kind of rises can you expect when a company move from the aim to 250?

Trump vs the rest of the world! is good for PLUS. Creates volatility in markets.
Part of the reason for holding PLUS is as a market hedge. Should do just as well if not better in a falling market.

Hardly a surprise we're having a slight pullback after rising 50-60% in just 3 months.

As much as I want it to, nothing goes up in a straight line.

See this pushing £20 come the next update.

Edit: beat me to it interceptor2! Distracted watching England win on breakfast news while typing ;)

Have to expect some consolidation and pullback after such a rapid increase in the last few months, hardly any shares go up in a straight line. It is a case of sellers taking worthwhile profits which causes the price to fall until a certain point where buyers take over and give a new area of support on the chart.

There is much to look forward too here, starting with the full listing due next week.

I was getting a little worried first thing this morning as the share price dropped again. Is this just the general market conditions at the moment (Trump v China battle)? Or can anyone see anything else that is hitting the share price.

intelligentinvestor1, I have little idea about its listing - but I share the view that they are unlikely to have made the announcements they made unless they were sufficiently confident.

As for £16, I bought a few, having previously let them go near £17. Although I am not entiely sure of the reason for the fall, I do not really care as I see this as eventually rising rather higher. One possible reason is that the BIS came out with their report (long time signalled) about Bitcoin. I have read some of the report and the Telegraph's on line headline of "Useless, Unsafe and Dirty" is not inaccuarate - it precis the BIS report pretty well!

I have always regarded Bitcoin trading as a temporary phenomenon and look at the investment case for PLUS absent of this activity. I reckon the management's trading updates are quite conservative for the same reasoning.

chucko1 ... I know that selling when I did may not have been the best possible decision but it was a good decision. I have money in the bank. When I buy back in, I will reserve my profit and stake about 25% less than the value of the stock I sold.

Plus is very liquid and I can jump back on board any time I want. I could have achieved much the same outcome by haircutting my holding, I think. But my trading costs are so low that it makes more sense to me to close my position completely if it looks like the stock could be on the slide rather than fuss around adjusting things at the margin.

Yertiz - Main market listing will happen this month as per RNS of 24th May

Prospectus next week admission planned for 25th June - (I know they have to put the usual subject to clauses but it will all have been agreed before the RNS)

SB888 - you are ignoring the first rule of investing, the one which involves allowing your emotions to control your decision making. If you don't like the company, fair enough - plenty on here do, but only as a conduit to make money. I have invested in Plus 500 (amongst many others) for this very purpose and I'm far from being disappointed. Ethically speaking, it may not be to everyone's taste, but show me a profit making company that is!

As for Plus500 entering the main market, my opinion is this will happen, maybe this year or most likely early next year. Whenever it does, the share price will carry on its upward trend. Now there are takeover rumours bouncing around I'd suggest you short at your own peril!

A desire to move to the main market and it actually happening are poles apart.

A hedge fund talking its own book, is also to be ignored.

Saltraider, a fair shout at 25% profit. I have been gradually selling all the way up, but feel there is still a reasonable chance of several legs higher, so will not sell out entirely as this thing tends to jump in great big quantum leaps! By the time you want to get back in, the darned thing is away from you.

I suspect the large Morgan Stanley sale and the Odey sales have casued this drop from 1700p to 1640p - something we see from time to time as large sales are signalled.

More SoftBank rumours? Last time I heard SoftBank rumours was two years ago in relation to Imagination Technologies and a week later they bought Arm Holdings so quite close! No smoke without fire.

I sold my entire holding at 1,626p this afternoon and cashed in a 25%+ paper gain. I'm keeping a careful eye on price movements and will likely buy again if/when I think the price is right.
