PUGUGLY
It always takes more effort the get the snowball rolling.
PHC are going big on marketing at the moment. It’s expensive, but the good thing for us is that the products have a visible impact on crops, even at an early stage, so eventually the products will sell themselves via word of mouth. Thus costs will reduce there.
Second PHC’s lab in Seattle is working on more efficient production techniques. As these roll out there’ll be a concomitant increase in margin.
Third, the company is growing globally with new distributors coming onboard, more sales etc. There’s a lot of world to go at and they are establishing roots in Europe, Americas, Australasia, Asia.

Can’t remember who said it, but you can’t buy stocks and hope to gain based on what’s known now, because someone’s already bought it. You can only buy stocks and hope to gain based on your take of the future. That involves rolling the dice a little. For me, PHC have the hallmarks of becoming a significant agro-chemicals company. There are several fences ahead, but they’re getting over them, like today.

Pug.. I must have filtered you from some other thread. So I chechecked today's post. Please read the trading update where they mention cash flow positive. This would have been included today if they had not issued the trading update. Cash flow postive is a major step forward. And today's Rns suggest a product take up. Filter is still in place.

The previous Rns was ignored. Heading for cash flow positive. Today's announcement might bring that forward. It's best to read both of the RNS statements.

Regardless of any shareprice movement in the forthcoming weeks, this EPA approval for PREtec is a massive company making announcement. It will positively influence regulatory decisions in other countries and the uptake of PREtec products. It also practically nails on PHC949 approval, which uses the same technology, and best of all, we have the whole of US agriculture to go at with our product.
Super news, we’ll done PHC team.

There are 2 things wrong with the statement - you can't have a joint ISA and you can't put more than £20k in an ISA in a tax year. It is also odd that he bought them for less than he sold them for, it's always been more expensive to buy them when you bed and ISA.

If you and your spouse or civil partner are living together, any transfer of an asset between you is treated as giving rise to neither a gain nor a loss to the person transferring it. Any amount actually paid is ignored. If the person receiving the asset later disposes of it, they will be treated as if they had paid an amount equal to the total of your costs. If you're not living together or the asset involved is trading stock, any asset transferred between you is treated as transferred at its market value at the time of the transfer. So, in these circumstances, the person transferring the asset may make a chargeable gain or an allowable loss.If you transfer exempt employee shareholder shares to your spouse or civil partner the shares are also treated as transferred at their market value at the time of transfer but you make no chargeable gain or allowable loss.

I guess CR held his stock in a personal ISA then transferred to the joint ISA. Nice to know CR still values the longterm potential here since stepping back from CEO. You only put the good stuff in an ISA.

That share transaction by the chairman and his wife exceeds the annual ISA allowance, so how have they done it?

Yes, but JT gave the impression that the EPA are unpredictable. It seems unlikely that they’d knock back Pretec having approved Proact; the technology is the same, but decisions are often made politically in the US.
Fortunately we have massive markets in EMEAA and India to look forward to, and South American sales are taking off. In particular, Proact is gaining significant traction as a ‘go to’ product, including the US. I have high hopes for Prezym too, the product looks excellent and I like the marketing campaign.

In sum, PHC global diversity provides some risk protection if the EPA doesn’t come through; but I hope it does.

Cont...Cont...Over two years of trials the integrated biological programme has been shown to reduce the amount of synthetic fungicides needed to maintain fruit quality by 58% The most recent research, carried out under Agrii's Green Horizons sustainable food production project has taken this further. In a recent trial, strawberries treated with a biological input programme including ProAct® had more than 20% less rotted fruit than those berries treated with a traditional standard programme programme of boscalid, pyraclostrobin, cyprodinil, fludioxonil and fenhexamide 2. Building on this finding, Agrii have developed an integrated biological programme for strawberries combining commercial biofungicides and ProAct®. Over two years of trials the integrated biological programme has been shown to reduce the amount of synthetic fungicides needed to maintain fruit quality by 58% 3. This is a significant reduction for a crop which may typically receive upwards of 12 fungicide applications. With the first harpin-derived PREtec peptides now reaching major global markets this is just the beginning of Plant Health Care's journey.

ProAct proven benifitToday 16:33https://news.agropages.com/News/NewsDetail---45632.htmA two-year study carried out by Plant Health Care's exclusive UK distributor Agrii has revealed how a programme of biosolutions including ProAct® can dramatically reduce the need for synthetic inputs in strawberry production. Every year, tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables are wasted because plant diseases and skin defects lead to produce being discarded before it can be consumed. This inefficiency comes with financial and environmental costs; excess land and resources use, carbon emissions and billions in wasted investment and unrealised value.Total UK waste on farm is estimated to be around 3.6 million tonnes, with a further 9.5 million tonnes wasted in the supply chain and households. The fresh strawberry supply chain has mostly relied upon traditional synthetic fungicides, fertilisers, and plastic packaging to keep produce in good condition during harvest, transport and storage to meet consumer standards for appearance and shelf-life. Even with these tools, total UK waste on-farm is estimated to be around 3.6 million tonnes, with a further 9.5 million tonnes wasted in the supply chain and households 1. Now as consumers demand more sustainable produce, and the availability of traditional chemical inputs are in decline due to environmental concerns whilst their prices continue to rise, the transition to biological management approaches is becoming increasingly urgent. The core purpose of Plant Health Care is to help farmers grow their crops more sustainably and this trial shows how Plant Health Care's products make this reality. Since beginning the partnership with Agrii, soft fruit growers in the UK have been using Plant Health Care's flagship biostimulant ProAct®, containing 1% Harpin ?ß, to increase yields, reduce the impact of environmental stress and maintain a longer post-harvest shelf-life, all of which contributes to an increased level of sustainability in the horticulture sector.

Agriculture - Why it matters

To PepsiCo:

Agriculture is core to PepsiCo's business. We source ingredients from approximately 60 countries supporting over 100,000 agricultural jobs. Creating a more sustainable agricultural system will protect our continued business growth from disruption due to climate change, water scarcity, and other environmental and social risks. More sustainable agriculture will also enhance the lives of agricultural workers and their communities.
To the World:

Agriculture is central to both global challenges and solutions related to nutrition, the environment, and economic well-being. PepsiCo believes that sustainable agricultural practices will be pivotal in meeting the increasing demand for food as the global population grows, while also addressing the need to protect and enhance our natural resources.
