08/9/2013 21:33 | Hi Pugugly - you're right, a nice steak and a quality Bordeaux, does bring a feel-good factor. I must have got carried away! | midmarsh30
08/9/2013 20:34 | hi pugugly...yes the spread can be wide (the headline advfn spread in particular) but the real width does fluctuate and can narrow markedly. in the past I have always found the share price movement more than compensates for the spread in what for me is a trading share | gleach23
08/9/2013 19:27 | Midmarsh30 :> You been at a bottle of good wine ??? All be it with your usual reservatiosn a more hopeful post tnan usual - To paraphrase the words of a forgotten general "It will be a closely fought battle -damm close" imo. The directors being very significant shareholders they will fight like hell to avoid any more significant dilution - I historically favour companies where the directors have significant skin in the game. Apart from cash flow and hopefully cash flow break even possibly the most significant forward indicator will, in my view l be the traction (or lack of it) achieved by Chromawhite which McK has hinted may be the potential company maker. imo etc - All cautions apply. Gleach: Given the MM margins you may need to see a significant share price jump to make much of a %age profit. | pugugly
08/9/2013 19:03 | nice to see some buying in the last week...and at a 20% premium by the end of it compared to the start! this one usually rises before results so i'll be hoping to top slice a few ahead of 16th although i only have a modest holding here good luck all...including all you flying pigs out there :) | gleach23
08/9/2013 18:08 | One week to go until the figures for H1 are announced on Monday 16 September. The July trading update gave us figures for Revenue and Gross Profit, up 13% and 12% respectively, and these figures would not be expected to change. In my post on 1 August in response to the trading update, I postulated on control of costs and the resulting effect on the Loss before tax. The challenge is to bring the H1 loss in below (£513k) suffered in 2012. Revenues and Costs rose significantly in 2012, so if 2012 costs enabled a greater throughput with little effect on increased units, we could see a significant improvement in reduced losses. However, if costs have risen in proportion to, or greater than revenue % increase, then expect an increased H1 Loss. We will want to know more about cashflow. Further losses and product development costs will have eaten into the cash raised from the 2012 fundraising. As this was the subject of the auditors' Emphasis of Matter, it is critical that the CEO provides investors with comfort in this area. The July trading update was very upbeat about prospects for H2, saying that previous problems had been overcome: new CFO, production addressed, ChromaWhite ready for the market. So, assuming there are no shocks with the figures, some real 'meat on the bones' of the earlier confident statements will be needed to inform investors which direction the company is going. For once, a plus point is that the directors have called an Analysts Meeting, for 9.30 on 16th. This is a welcome change from the 'run and hide' tactics earlier in the year. | midmarsh30
03/9/2013 17:51 | Gleach, you're purchase was an inspiration to everyone to buy! Lots of buys today. Do some folk have news not on the 'street'?, i.e. a leak, or are today's purchases just 'herd mentality'? RNS this afternoon at 4.28pm but just notification of date of release of half year results. Witheco; this could be a good investment, but, at the moment, I cannot offer any further comment as there is no release of news to comment upon. Good luck. | midmarsh30
03/9/2013 16:48 | After a bit of hesitation, I decided to bite the bullet with this one. In at 5.5p, understand Midmarsh concerns, but looks to cheap, and GE experience should help those human agency issues. | witheco
03/9/2013 16:03 | Wow what's caused this rise? | lancasterbomber
02/9/2013 16:52 | Pigs may fly!!!!!!!!!! before this takes off, counting the days to a fund-raising at results. | beeezzz
02/9/2013 12:39 | i noticed there were only 10k shares available to buy online at 5.3 this morning so I thought i'd try to have some fun and budge the share price by topping up with 10k. didn't budge the price but now only 1k available @ 5.5. 75k available to sell @ 5p with my rose tinted specs on, i'm hoping there might be some demand around to mark a turning point? :) | gleach23
01/9/2013 17:40 | Saucepan, if there is no bowl forming... could it be a saucepan? Just a thought. | davidhel
30/8/2013 18:41 | Oh dear, what a dreadful looking chart. In January, I had high hopes of PSL. In my own case, I kept to a strict stoploss, so have been out for a long while. I have monitored in case a bowl formed on the chart, but there is still no sign of that happening and no bottom in sight. Commiserations to those who are feeling the pain. | saucepan
30/8/2013 17:54 | 250k @5p doesn't fill me with optimism about upcoming results, Bummer!!!! If this surges after results I will be moving on. GLA. | beeezzz
29/8/2013 07:37 | Could do with a decent contract/statement in the results to get some change in direction here..... | chrisdgb
24/8/2013 12:04 | Seen a lot of shares lately falling when a major holder decides for whatever reason to sell out. Most of these have provided buying opportunities and with no correspondence from the company otherwise i'm being patient. | battlebus2
24/8/2013 11:13 | beeezzz:> Re the trade at 5.5p I read as a major continuing to unload - with another buying at 5.52p. This appears to have been the pattern for the recent past with the seller being driven down by the buyer from some 8p to 5.5p Almost looks as though the buyer (if that is who it is) is cutting the bid even further.to 5p I suppose we will see who is right when the results come out. If there are serious problems i would have expected an rns BUT as Midmarch30 points out there are reasonable doubts (imo etc) | pugugly
20/8/2013 17:14 | All three, thanks Midmarsh. | witheco
19/8/2013 23:24 | Gleach & Saucepan - I've never known such intense activity on this board. I'm quite worn out! Good luck with your investments. | midmarsh30
19/8/2013 23:13 | thanks Saucepan - I had been trading this quite well in modest amounts for the past year. Obviously under water in the current trade but I'm prepared to be patient for the time being. Hi Midmarsh - I was implying above that you do post credibly here but the fact that you have only ever posted on this board, together with your explanation above, removes a good deal of that credibility for me. Anyway I have no axe to grind and each to their own etc. Good luck. | gleach23
19/8/2013 22:56 | Midmarsh: fair enough, I have no axe to grind - just interested in companies that you thought did match your investment criteria as a basis for further research of my own. It is always good to share ideas. As gleach implies, unfortunately there are too many trolls on ADVFN who only ever post negatively. | saucepan
19/8/2013 22:49 | Hi gleach Thanks for your observations. Good luck with your trade here. For me, I would like to see the share price making higher highs and lows before thinking about returning, and I suspect that will require a 'bowl' to form first. However, great if you have called the bottom. | saucepan
19/8/2013 22:47 | See my post of 6 June. You will have seen that I have not posted on any other company? I am not interested in tittle tattle found elsewhere. This company keeps offering issues which demand comment. I do not have shares here for the reasons you will have read and you will also have noted that I see no merit in investing in PSL based on currently available information. Can I therefore be a de-ramper if I have no interest in whether the share price is high or low? I have investments in over 30 companies but none of the others are 'quite as interesting'! | midmarsh30
19/8/2013 22:42 | hi Saucepan In looking at Midmarsh's profile it seems he has only ever posted 11 times on ADVFN and they have all been on PSL, a trait usually associated with trolls and not someone who contributes credible posts. As stated previously I have a small position here and it's very much of the trader/gambler variety. I too would be interested in other stocks that Midmarsh is keen on but my interest would be more to do with why he doesn't contribute to those boards, whereas he seems happy to post here even though not apparently invested. | gleach23
19/8/2013 20:42 | Midmarsh I keep PSL on my watchlist as I was briefly invested when the stock was in an up-trend. I then sold out when the trend started to fail. At the time I invested I thought there was a good chance of PSL turning profitable. There is no way I would touch PSL now and I found your posts really interesting and well argued. To some extent they concur with my own current views. I was thus interested to look at your other posts, to see what stocks you were enthusiastic about - in case that led me to something else worth researching. (I, too, regard myself as an 'investor'). However, if the assessment is not too harsh, the tenor of your other posts on ADVFN seem to be of the 'bashing' nature. That might lead some to conclude that you are a systematic 'de-ramper'. I myself am not drawing that conclusion, but would still be very interested to know what stocks you are keen on, if you would be happy to share. Cheers Saucepan | saucepan |
