03/10/2012 08:28 | It hasn't taken much to move the share price this morning, with the last buy at 11.2p. I agree DaveMac3, that section of the last statement is very positive imv. We are very much under the radar at this time, but once these are highlighted to investors, PSL are likely to move rapidly imo. ic2... | interceptor2

"We see significant opportunities developing in the lighting market, as the rate of LED lighting installation picks up globally. 25/9/2012 13:30 | Massive potential here... "Market opportunity The LED market is still in its early stages, currently accounting for less than 3% of the $70bn global general lighting market. However, the market is rapidly transitioning to LED lighting, driven by cost reductions, increased efficiency and multiple regulatory drivers. These include the European phased ban of incandescent lamps and also the energy saving code for sustainable homes. It is estimated that by 2015 LED sources will account for over 50% of the $100bn general lighting market (JP Morgan 2010). Currently, lighting accounts for 19% of global electricity usage, much of which is wasted as traditional light sources radiate up to 90% of their energy as heat. A rapid switch over to LED lighting will not only lead to significant reduction in energy usage, but it will also have a significant impact on greenhouse gas production, as grid electricity use has a disproportionately higher impact on CO2 emissions than other energy sources. As a result, in markets where development is required to meet CO2 reduction targets (such as CRC, Code for sustainable homes & the Kyoto agreement) reducing electricity use by using cleaner supplies or reducing demand will have three times the impact compared to addressing heating and insulation and twice the impact of addressing transport. This is due to the greater CO2 emissions associated with grid electricity (Source: Carbon Trust (Grid electricity kWh 0.544, Natural gas kWh 0.184, LPG kWh 0.214, Gas oil kWh 0.277, Fuel oil kWh 0.266, Burning oil kWh). Today, CO2 emissions attributable to lighting are equivalent to 70% of all global car CO2 emissions. Whilst energy savings from source replacement are significant, the addition of controls via Smart lighting can improve energy savings by a further 70%." | someuwin

25/9/2012 13:00 | Clocktower: ""Double before too long" Interested to know about X2 turnover. 1. Is there any declared strategy to achieve this? 2. And do you know the size of the existing and potential market? 3. And have you any thoughts on the time line to achieving this sort of growth (and profit)? Cliff | cliffpeat

20/9/2012 14:16 | Hi sport. Obviously a massive difference in valuations between PSL and DIA (DIA is 50 times the size) My point was to look back at the meteoric growth DIA has experienced and wonder if in the next few years PSL will grow at a similar rate? Seems very possible to me. Both provide LED lighting products. LED lighting is still in its infancy and should grow exponentially. Looks compelling to me. Dialight sp | someuwin
20/9/2012 14:04 | someuwin, thanks for highlighting this. in your comparison to DIA's mkt cap, what is the comparison in terms of revenues / profits? Are there contracts available to PSL to get up to DIA's level? an interesting one to wtch...once again, cheers for the heads up | sportbilly1976
20/9/2012 11:32 | Half year results in 3 day's time (25th sept) should show good growth. | someuwin |
