27/3/2013 15:55 | GWR7:. Something you might to look at from my web seach re the new FD https://www.duedil.c Seems to be the same man. EDITED 28/3/13 To open need to highlight and then open in a new tab. | pugugly
27/3/2013 13:52 | Fair enough pug. I didn't have to share what I'd discovered through house completion stats and corroborated with proof of use and I thought you were a bit quick to find fault. I do wonder if there was something dodgy about the Enfis deal. The auditors raised concerns in the last annual report. One finance director resigning is acceptable. But to spend months looking for another one only for him to resign soon after with no compelling reason makes me cautious about adding. I suspect you feel the same. | gwr7
26/3/2013 16:47 | Good support but its not awards thats wanted, its profits. Stuff wasting money on RNS for rewards and get the business profitable. | clocktower
26/3/2013 12:54 | GWR7: I had not intended to upset you after your excellent identification of CR as possibly the house builder. Very sorry if I failed to communicate in the appropriate manner you expected. Having been in the promotional and marketing business all my commercial life I have found that where marketing or advertising claims could be interpreted in a number of different ways (and I include rns's in this same category) then an investor needed to dig behind the claim to determine the exact position. The recent market misinterpretation of the ACTA rns in respect of the Isle of Wigth hydrogen storeage project is a classic example. I am certainly not nit picking for the reasons I outlined above. Agreed 2 FD resignations could be a worry. The first man (ex Enfis) was possibly part of the old team. Holloway is a different matter as a recent appointee. It would be useful to know if it chemistry or something else - especially as the company have advised that the accounts will be published this month. Only 3 working days left. I assure you i am not short but very long (possibly too long) as I have a lot of respect for McKenzie and he has a lot of skin in the game but the LED market is a jungle. | pugugly
26/3/2013 11:10 | I have to say I think you're nit picking there after the hollow thanks you gave me. The link you're homing in on is an isolated piece of information. You have no idea about the contract - you didn't even have the gumption to find out the name of the housebuilder. Not sure what your game is, but if it's short I would have thought the bigger concern is the resignation of two finance directors since the last annual report. I'm waiting to see if there is anything to come out with the washing in this year's report. | gwr7
26/3/2013 08:55 | GWR7:- Very useful find - Many thanks. However from the site:- Electrical Low energy LED Photonstar downlighters to underside of kitchen units, en suites and bathroom LED lighting throughout Only mention of PhotonStar is in the unit downlighters - Not (imo) a massive useage. The fact that while Photonstar are "publicised" for the downlights and not for the rest of the LED lighting (implicatuion it could be generic) is a concern to me. QUESTION: Have investors been too optimistic in their interpretation of the rns and interpreted it a "all lighting" rather than a limited amoount which could be the case if the only Photonstar products are as specified in the above house specification. That is if GWR7 has correclty identified the housebuilder. All imo - Does anyone have any definitative information in this area? Edit: Further check on Crest Nicholson No mention of the brand in lighting here.in new development. | pugugly
24/3/2013 13:41 | Just read the posts around the time the contract with the major housebuilder was announced on 20th September I'm surprised there was no speculation on the identity of the company concerned. I'm 100% confident it's Crest Nicholson. The figure of 1500 completions fits and they are definitely using photonstar products. They recently returned to the main market via an IPO, are going great guns and plan to grow to 2500 completions a year in 3-4 years. They focus on sustainability and design, are a quality outfit and have a total land bank of nearly 30000 units, mainly in the south-east, which they plan to grow. Thought this may be of interest to holders. | gwr7
22/3/2013 14:14 | bb2:_ Probaly a reason to sell !!!!! (Not quite tongue in cheek) !!! | pugugly
21/3/2013 16:48 | Pug me too...Had a great run up so far on DIA... Nice to see a tick up here..I'm assuming results are due next week. LED take up is still in it's infancy, expecting exponential growth over the next 5 yrs. Companies on AIM are always fighting the institutional investors who are never really interested in penny stocks. Maybe 10:1 share split would take them out of that bracket, however that would make even more illiquid than DIA. May add next week.... GLA | beeezzz
21/3/2013 10:57 | gleach23:> I had an L2 bid in at 12.5 after your 12.1 but could not get a nibble and was advised re the MMbe bidding. | pugugly
21/3/2013 10:28 | bid ticked up now! i shall watch from sidelines for time being | gleach23
21/3/2013 08:19 | Thorpe MC £129 million with25% of t/o in LED PSL M/C £13 million "The move to LED light sources continues with some 25% of group products now being LED compared to only 3% this time last year. Our product development of LED products and systems continues apace. " Thorpe t/o annualised some £54 M so LED approx £13.5 million psl T/O from IMS £8.7 M so Thorpe significantly larger than PSL in LED. OK I have not done a detailed analysis of the individual sector breakdowns - and initial indications are that PSL are more domestic/office/hote Declaration I hold both DIA and PSL. | pugugly
21/3/2013 08:14 | mine was the 20k at 12.1 pugugly and yes it did show as a buy surprised to hear you say MMs bidding at 12.5/12.8 as i haven't seen that on the dummy trades i've done in the last week. that said, the bid is creeping up (12.18 just now) and still a shortage of available stock to buy online (500) so would indicate some demand good luck with the results | gleach23
21/3/2013 07:56 | Thorpe not so much in the LED field. | battlebus2
21/3/2013 07:52 | gleach23: I take it those were your sales market at 12.1-12.5 marked by ADVFN as buys. I was trying to buy yesterday but no stock available (at a price I was prepared to offer) and MM's bidding up to 12.5/12.8 for stock. Like yourself I am concerned about the results - We have been warned about loss through the IMS - Key driver (imo) either way will be comments on order book and forward forecasts - The Thorpe comments yesterday suggest to me that we may receive "a business is challenging" statement. | pugugly
20/3/2013 14:02 | no tick up in share price yesterday then....actually a tick down although bid price held firm adopted cautious approach and not wanting to be holding on results, have traded out today to await share price reaction to results | gleach23
18/3/2013 16:51 | and a nice trade in the auction for 30k over the ask @ 13.25p am expecting a healthy tick up in share price in the morning EDIT - results out any day before the end March so may look to trade out as I only try to trade this stock currently | gleach23
18/3/2013 14:31 | Good to see some buying today. Chart looks nicely poised and there are only 1k shares available to buy online @ 13p currently with 50k available to sell @ 12p :) | gleach23
