Nick Rubens: Totally agree 100% with you. Regarding the pensioners - They are an easy pray because labour knows they don't complain too much. Most of them are too old to complain with many physically weak with bad health. This is another argument this labour has no humanity whatsoever. Young people will now understand why labour is kicked out of power for decades in the past. It doesn't mean the recent tories are better but this labour is the worst governement this country had for years.
Regarding PETS, I am convinved it will recover in due time. These days over reactions to results and trading updates are common as if everything is becoming more sensitive than before. |
And these are all the reasons why shorting the UK mkt makes sense.I mean seriously, the chancellor allegedly lied abt being an economist. What was she, the tea lady?Sad state of affairs but that is why the US is my focus |
Absolutely. Everyone knows these millions of uneducated and culturally incompatible young men won't ever be an asset to the country. It's part the process. They can be used for labour when the state has absolute ruthless control however. Who knows they could be the future enforcers, necessary when the existing police and military refuse their orders. |
Very disappointing. Will hold on till the death as my initial investment/average is so low anyway. Yield of 12% too so as long as they don't go bust all good. |
fuji99 Yes absolutely spot on, I am convinced they are purposely wanting to harm us. The elderly were the first targets having their winter fuel allowance suddenly terminated, with no regard for those poor elderly pensioners caught out in the brutal cut off point. That should send a chill in everyone as no one will be safe from these clowns and the food production is now under attack. PET share price falling and though painful for shareholders is nothing compared to the wider reality of whats coming. |
Nick Rubens: If the farmers are hurt, then there will be less farmers thus less food. If there is less food, its price will go over the roof, meaning HIGHER inflation. If there is higher inflation, interest rates will rise and people with mortgages will be hurt. So the cycle of destruction is triggered and won't be stopped. So anything this labour has done or will do is basically hurting the citizens of this country at EVERY level because every action they take is a domino effect of disaster. |
I am extremely pessimistic on UK but this is overdone Insane lol |
I have actually taken your advice at 244 lol |
Try the perfect trade and go long. |
Perhaps i shld have left it open longer lol |
Labour liars, not only destroying business, growth and investment confidence but also trying to put the farmers out of business who will likely respond before they are forced to sell land. Looks like British food produce could be in short supply at some stage. Can businesses sanction Labour MP's? If I owned a business I wouldn't let them in or sell anything to them. |
Well over done. The market is daft. |
"Pets also said on Wednesday that changes to National Insurance contributions and minimum wage announced in last month's Budget are expected to increase costs by £18m in FY26."
This problem is flagged up by every retailer. The is the result of the "friend of the working people" - The labour party, or the best friend of higher taxes. Who cannot raise taxes on the back of working people ? How easy it is ! But creating jobs to help the economy is more difficult ... |
PETS- 3* Despite the increase in revenue, 1.9% to £789.1m driven by 18.6% growth in Vet Growth ,Statutory PBT 47.3% to £51.1m. Forward looking is subdued, with muted demand. hxxps://wealthoracle.co.uk/detailed-result-full/PETS%20/1023 |
Great trading buddy. |
Yes, given the mkt was expecting far more dire numbers. Was obviously a tad lucky from the overreaction on open |
Generally I agree with you. Looking at PETS numbers in more detail it's not such a horror show. They've not mentioned the impact of the Communists budget though. It won't be insignificant. The U.K. will collapse until Labour out. The 1970s will feel like a party compared to what's coming. |
To be fair the update was also better than I expected - closed put at 250 for a c 10% gainGood luck all! |
Thank you. Gov policy makes this country uninvestible. Politicians here dont seem to ever understand the butterfly effect of their so called well meaning actions. All of my investments are in US and asiaThe UK mkt is ripe for shorting |
FY25 ....... |
Never been the same after Pritchard left |
Very well played. I'm well under water here. As long as dividends rise with inflation, they've increased 4.4 percent I'll hang around. Not pretty. I'm tempted to kick my dog. |
Taken out a juicy short at 277p in advance of the dungheap update tmrw.Good luck sportsfans, expecting the low 2s |
