‘ Rics said. However, looking 12 months ahead, property professionals' sales expectations suggest there will be a more stable outlook in the coming year, the report said.’

Translation: we haven’t got a clue what the fk we are talking about 12 months into the future. We are just building surveyors, not economists ffs.

The pace of UK house price falls may be steadying as the end of the year approaches, according to surveyors. A net balance of 63% of property professionals reported house prices falling rather than increasing in October, edging down from a balance of 67% in September, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said. Its report said the latest house price reading "suggests the pace of decline, from a national perspective, has levelled off in recent weeks. Nonetheless, the house price metric remains deeply negative across most parts of the UK, even if the latest readings have moved off the lows hit over the past couple of months in the majority of cases". Rics said "bucking the aggregate picture", survey participants continue to cite a steady increase in prices across Northern Ireland. Sales activity remained weak, with a net balance of 25% of property professionals reporting a decline in sales rather than a rise in October. Sentiment suggests there is unlikely to be any significant turnaround in sales through the remainder of 2023, Rics said. However, looking 12 months ahead, property professionals' sales expectations suggest there will be a more stable outlook in the coming year, the report said.

No-one’s got any money to buy paper frame houses imo. Well not as many. There’s simply an affordability crisis right?

So I offered the lady in the REdrow office 100k under the asking price in June and she ordered me to go look elsewhere and how would I like it if I were offered 100k less for my own house…. Jeese calm down. Since then the same house has been reduced by over 25k and still isn’t selling. And you guys think all is well?

Is there going to be a house price crash in 2022. No.
One particular troll was stating a house price crash in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, lol, just lol!

So much noise on TV and all mainstream media on house prices, mortgages etc, etc, etc...
I have added at 86.498.

Imo, this is an opportunity not to missed, I maybe wrong in the short term but certainly not in the long.""

Site managers and Estate Agents will be positive. After al it's their business on the line.

This is what Savills said in 2006 before GFC. It didn't stop the housing market from crashing.

Dec 2006:
Savills says housing market is not about to crash..
Prices high due to inadequate supply rather than a bubble.

Sound familiar..;-)

"The housing market is not about to crash, according to the latest Savills UK Residential Research Bulletin. Low growth in 2005 seems to have constituted the full extent of the housing market slowdown, with house price inflation excelling in 2006."

"Price levels are high and large, growing numbers of households are unable to buy their homes but this is due to inadequate supply rather than a speculative bubble, said Ms Barnes."

Sikhthetech,

I qoute you

"Ask yourselves why Beckers, Fenners, Jugears, Angershankz are desperately trying to silence me on housebuilders by attacking TLY??"
I am merely pointing out that TLY is a car crash, out of the goodness of my heart I advised you to sell at 40p. You took no notice...
Then again I advised you to sell at 14p. You took no notice... You have lost over 85% of your investment.
I don't care what you post on HB's, it's all bs and c&p nonsense from years back, lol!

"I countered the deramper's on there and provided evidence as to why"
You have never countered me on TLY's messy impairments and goodwill... that will be exposed.
'1GW' even qoutes the pages in the annual reports which you can not counter.

The nonsense you have posted on the HB's BB's and how many times you get caught out by your own stupidity, makes you a village idiot.

Sikhthetech,

Tell me, when is your predicted 5 year plus house price crash going to happen, lol, just lol!

You are not credible.

I was on a BDEV site in Doncaster earlier today. Site manger told me that they've put prices UP as people and investors are still snapping them up. As I've stated previously this will be a bit of postcode lottery at the moment but then it often is anyway.

UK house prices are expected to be around GBP45,000 higher on average by 2028, as market demand and buying power recovers, according to a forecast. Property adviser Savills, which released the research, said the market looks set to "bottom out" around the middle of next year. Across Britain, the average property value will increase to GBP300,108 in 2028, marking a GBP45,521 or 17.9% increase from an average house price of GBP254,587 in 2023, according to Savills. The average house price is projected to fall by 3.0% in 2024 but Savills said this will be followed by price increases in 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 as affordability pressures slowly ease.

b59,

You should check through it's post history!
40 years experience in the construction industry, lol!
It's been calling a house price crash for more than 5 years and been consistently wrong. Lol!
Then it invests in a dodgy healthcare company and loses over 85%, you couldn't make it up... Sikhthetech does, lol, just lol!
Sikhthetech is not credible.

Cupra,

My opinion has been consistent and based on company/sector newsflow and my 40yrs of experience of the property market. Shorted and trading.

At least your opinion has also been consistent, bullish all the way down from over 2000p....
:-)

Good luck with your analysis of housebuilders and the housing market.
