LE4R - In what way are they still targeting PAYS?

Guys, also a long term fan of this company and I believe this is an unwarranted attack by shorters - BUT - the question remains: why are they targeting PAYS, esp in spite of the bb programme announced yesterday??Is it really as simple as they need a lower price to close?These guys, while they may odious, are not stupid... they must believe they still have tricks up their sleeves??

With millions of $s at stake the shorters will try anything to frighten people to sell so that they can get the price as low as possible.I'm guessing some of them are kicking themselves that they didn't get out quick enough in recent crash.They need the price lower - plants on bbs like this/ more dodgy reports With all positive broker noises/TU/share buy backs they must be desperate.

a brave call if they were. £100m share BB, still lowly geared, M&A likely IMO/DYOR, TU in under 2 weeks, I mean, surely they have had their fun, why would you take the risk? Would you not wait until AFTER the TU and then use that as ammo(or not as the case may be)??? so BB not sure that tactically would make sense would it? DYOR

Can you qualify that comment Big Boots considering no-one has any insight into who Spotlight are? Just curious why your chucking such a comment into the pot....

The buyback programme (which is a great response from the company) should effectively put a floor under the share price

EH9. I agree that it does not take many shares transacted to hold the higher price. In fact the fewer shares moved at these lower values mean a higher cost to the shorters when they have to buy the remainder. Great.

Interesting it was only 125k given there were 5.5-6M shares traded yesterday, certainly giving the shorters time to adjust their positions. Will be interesting to keep an eye on these announcements/notifiable short positions running up to the TU. Their £100M equates to approx. 27.8M shares around current prices, which is not that far below the shorter's holdings.
