Taylor20. One must not mix debt with cash .
Cash didn’t mean profit ( Same as Revenue/Income is not profit ) maybe able to give cash flow to the business for a short term . Only profit can reduce debt and in turn show a good Balance Sheet .

Agree and the debt is a mixture of 2 x amortising loans (50% of the gross debt @£46.8m), so likely at fixed rates and set about a year ago when interest rates where still low, and the rest is a revolving credit facility of £46.5m, likely at variable rates. So with the FCF reported, future revenue projections etc. easily manageable it would appear.

Debt risen by 2/3 compared to Year 2022 from £43 m to ££72 m . Almost £30 reason given the purchase of Appreciate .
The question is whether Appreciate able to generate the enough profit to pay down this huge debt plus loan interest and some for shareholders return in the medium term . This is a big $99 million question . Only time will tell . The debt represents almost 2/3 of the 2033 profit of £128m

Debt may be up (£94m), but they have £120m of cash from APP, this should more than double by calendar year end. Roughly every .5% change in rates adds £.85m in interest from the cash pile.

What you expect , Stoopid? Debt shot up sizeable and with current high interest environment , more of the profit will have to pay down the debt first , forget about share buyback .

Very solid results, Love2Shop integrating well already providing increased revenues and profit. Good contract wins and future revenue growth looking likely which was a key concern.Increased Divi (although only by 3.3%) is also a good sign.Only fly in ointment is the net debt, but with current profit levels and good free cash flow should be easily manageable....

“We have declared an increase of 3.3% in the final dividend to 18.6 pence per share (2022: 18.0 pence per share). One to be paid as an interim dividend and one to paid as a final dividend. This is payable in equal instalments of 9.3 pence per share (2022: 9.0 pence per share) on 1 September 2023 and 22 September 2023 to shareholders on the register on 11 August 2023. The final dividend is subject to the approval of shareholders at the annual general meeting on 7 September 2023.”

What are we, 468.5 at last nights close so thats 3.97%. Quite a decent return for 6 months but i was hoping for better dividend growth given the level of inflation.

I dont see these results supporting a big rally in the SP

Comfortable with that although net debt grown considerably after appreciate acquisition

Given the EPS, dividend and growth prospects, the shares, in my view, should go a lot higher over the next year. The only negative is the lack of net tangible assets.

A very solid and respectable set of results for FY23 and an excellent Q1 trading update too!

The auditors needing longer to complete their work on Appreciate balance sheet was totally overblown, as no material adjustments.

There is strong momentum across all areas of the PayPoint Group, including Appreciate (now known as Love2Shop).

Long-awaited results in the morning. Took a small position here at the start of the week. But until we get clarity following the audit delay it has to be regarded as a bit of a punt. Fingers crossed.
